Good but not perfect!

We were a group of 8 and we chose this apartment because it was one of only a few that had 4+ bathrooms, also knowing Barcelona quite well I knew that being located right outside the Segrada Familia it was well connected via the Metro to all of the Barcelona attractions.
The apartment is spacious, has 5 bedrooms in the main apartment plus 1 separate bedroom right next door. All but 1 of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, one uses the family bathroom and all have their own water heater so there are is plenty of hot water for showers. The living area is totally open plan which is good for a group such as ours. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining table seats 8 plus a breakfast bar that will seat another 3 or 4. The sitting room seating is more limited, two white L shaped sofas seat 4 each but are more comfortable for 6. The apartment is described as a loft, I believe this is to describe its open plan design but it is on the ground floor and not the roof. We found the apartment to be quiet because it is essentially an internal apartment with no windows on the outside of the building so no traffic noise.
Although the apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived I was a little disappointed by the general condition, that’s not to say that it was in bad repair I just felt that it was beginning to need a spruce up. We did find than there were no wine or cava glasses though, oh and the kettle was only big enough for three cups a major problem first thing in the morning! Clearly these would have been rectified if we had asked but we only stayed for 4 nights, hopefully this has now been sorted.
The company who manage the bookings are second to none but unfortunately the same cannot be said of the company that they use meet you at the apartment and check you in and out. We were advised to call them from the airport when we were on the bus into Barcelona which we did, as they were busy doing other check-ins we were allocated a time that was 30 minutes later than our expected arrival at the apartment, not ideal but acceptable. Despite two further calls to the contact we had been given the guy arrived 30 minutes after the time we had been given which meant that we had been standing around outside the apartment for a full hour by which time we were a bit grumpy!
All in all this apartment is better than some I have stayed in and we had a good stay, the apartment served us well so if like us you want 4+ bathrooms its worth considering.
