FABULOUS PROPERTY AND WONDERFUL HOSTS

We loved the flat, the pictures are just like the property and the location is right in the centre of tourist Aix-en-Provence, it really couldn't be better. If you're not planning on going out and about, don't bother with a car, it's more trouble than it's worth.

The flat is spacious and extremely well equipped, clearly Alain and Christine are extremely helpful and have thought of everything - well done both and thanks.

Christine and Alain are very noce and extremely helpful. I tried to speak to them in French but my language skills are very poor so it was hard work for me, though the rest of our party were better. However, as both Alain and Christine speak English (much better than my French!) we managed just fine.

Alain picked us up from the airport and dropped us off again afterwards and this was a lovely touch and made out stay that much more special.

Thanks Alain and Christine, you made our stay fantastic and even arranged lovely weather all week :-)

WONDERFUL LOCATION AND SERVICE!

We had many apartment rentals while traveling around France for five months. Alain and Christine gave the best customer service of any of our hosts on the trip. Alain picked us up at the train station upon our arrival and took us to the flat where we also met Christine. They gave us helpful information about the apartment and the city of Aix. The apartment was exactly as described on the website; it was very clean and well-supplied. We so enjoyed being in the heart of the Old Quarter and within walking distance of the important sites. Alain stayed in close touch with us throughout our stay and was always available for any questions. He even took us to the TGV train station at the end of our visit. We highly recommend this well-maintained apartment in a terrific location.

AAA (AMAZING AIX APARTMENT)

Our family did truly have an amazing stay in Alain and Christine's Aix Apartment. The booking process was faultless, and the owners were more than willing to help with any further information that I required. The apartment ticked all our boxes; a functional kitchen, laundy facilities, 2 bedrooms (with single beds in the second room) and within the old town as we were without a car. However, the clincher was that Alain would pick us up and drop us off to our arrival/ departure locations. This was greatly appreciated by our weary long haul family. The apartment proved to be exactly as shown in the photos, was clean and tidy, and I nearly cried with tired joy at the welcome basket of breakfast supplies. Alain and Christine are wonderful hosts, whom we ran into twice in and around Aix, and were extremely generous with their time, sharing some of the sights of the area. As we were without a car, we walked alot, which is the ideal way to see the old town. We did take 2 half day bus tours from the very helpful Tourist information centre, and spent a day in Marseille. Everything you need is very close by. A supermarket underneath the apartment. A Boulangerie 10 steps from the buildings front door, which our boys walked to most mornings to buy croissants. The morning markets were a delight to walk around and to buy local produce for the day ahead. All too soon our week in Aix was over, and we were sad to say goodbye to Alain and Christine who felt like old family friends. I highly recommend this apartment, its owners, and would dearly love to return one day.

WONDERFUL STAY IN AIX EN PROVENCE

The property was exactly as described, and quite lovely. The location was perfect, and felt very safe and secure! Alain was a warm and welcoming host, taking us to the town house from the airport, and another time to our rental car. The home was very clean and well cared for, with all needed amenities. Alain provided many wonderful welcome items for us-he was charming and I would be delighted to stay in his town home again should we be fortunate enough to return to Aix en Provence. FANTASTIC STAY

This was a terrific experience for my wife and me from start to finish. We flew from the US to Marseille, arriving tired in the early afternoon. Alain met us at the airport and drove us to the flat, which would have been impossible to reach without him, since the streets are blocked off to motor traffic after noon. He got us to the doorstep of the flat, which was perfectly located. A few steps from several beautiful squares with restaurants, shopping, and, in the morning, food and flower markets. We stayed above a Casino market, where we could buy essentials, and across the street from a bakery, where we could get breakfast and coffee. I don't think we could have had a better location, close to everything, but the flat is on a fairly quiet street. The flat is very nice. Practically everything we could have wanted was there, including a washing machine, but no dryer. The kitchen was well stocked, but we didn't cook much, so it didn't matter. The bedroom was very comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms were clean, modern, and very functional. There were bunkbeds for two more people, if needed. We rented a car three days after arrival and were able to keep it in a parking lot about 3 blocks away for 15 Euro per day. In Aix, you definitely don't want a car, but we used it for trips to Luberon, Cassis, Avignon, and a few other wonderful day trips. It was worth having for part of the trip, but there are at least 3-4 days of activities available in Aix which do not require a car. Aix is a great city in that it is large enough to be sophisticated and have all the amenities you'd expect in a large city, but is small enough to walk to all the major sites. There was no shortage of shopping, sightseeing, and just wandering the city. We would love to come back. No wonder it is a popular retirement destination. Alain and Kristine made our stay excellent. They were available if needed, but did not bother us unless we called. I would heartily recommend this property for a couple, perhaps with a couple children. It isn't well suited for more than one couple, but it was perfect for us.

Eine geschmackvoll eingerichtete und pieksaubere Wohnung in der Altstadt von Aix, ausgestattet mit allem, was das Urlauberherz begehrt!
Wir haben hier Ende Oktober drei Nächte verbracht und uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Alain ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, der seine Gäste nicht nur mit einem bereits gefüllten Kühlschrank überrascht, sondern sogar anbietet, sie von Bahnhof oder Flughafen abzuholen. Das haben wir bisher noch nie erlebt! Auch wenn wir das Angebot nicht genutzt haben, da wir während unseres gesamten Urlaubs einen Mietwagen hatten, muss ich sagen, dass dies ein toller Service ist, der den Urlaub deutlich stressfreier beginnen/enden lässt.
Die Wohnung ist nur für sehr große Besucher nicht 100%ig zu empfehlen, da sich in der oberen Etage einige Balken in Kopfhöhe befinden, was zu der einen oder anderen Beule führen kann ... ;-) ...
