We would love for you to visit Hidden Serenity Lodge in beautiful Tahoe City.
Hidden Serenity Lodge is located in a very quiet setting. The wrap-around deck and bedrooms face the forest with complete privacy. We are steps away from Tahoe National Forest with miles of hiking/back country skiing for your pleasure.
While the setting around Hidden Serenity is extremely quiet, the location is exceptionally convenient as well. We're half a mile from fine dining, grocery stores, shopping, and beautiful Lake Tahoe itself. It's a 2 minute car ride or 10 minute walk to get there. Talk about convenience!
Our beautiful living room faces the forest with huge windows for your viewing pleasure. If you prefer to face the other way, you'll have a view of our wood burning stove and LED 3D TV, with Blu-ray player, surround sound, Netflix, and cable. For the music lovers, we have convenient hookups for your iPhone/Android/smart phone into our built-in speakers.
We have 3 spacious bedrooms and a loft in the master bedroom. Our bedrooms each have a queen sized bed, with memory foam mattress toppers as well as oversized down comforters for your pleasure. We have two pull-out sofas in the living room and den as well.
Our bathrooms come stocked with toe heaters. Step onto the memory foam mats with those babies blowing and you'll be ready to start your day on even the coldest Tahoe morning.
Relax in the sauna after a long day of skiing, riding, hiking, or whatever your physical pleasure may be.
Our kitchen comes fully stocked with all the standard cookware you would need. We also provide basic oils and condiments. We have a full gas stove and convection oven ready for use.
The dining room provides a beautiful view of the forest and is large enough to fit 8.
If wine is your pleasure, we have plenty of wine glasses to help you unwind after your day.
We have brand new LG washer/dryer for taking care of any emergencies or if you'd just like to freshen up your gear before hitting the slopes again.
Hidden Serenity lodge can accommodate as many as 5 cars (although we'd love it if you carpooled!).
Note: There is an attached studio, where the owners may be staying on occasion. But you won't even notice us as we'll completely respect your privacy. It's your get-away, and we wouldn't want to intrude. But if you'd like to come say 'hi' or ask for advice, we'd be happy to help!
Hidden Serenity Lodge is owned jointly by my family and my parents.
My fiance and I live in the South Bay Area. We're both Bay Area natives. I attended UCLA for school and have been a software engineer ever since. My fiance is a nurse, which is great for when I bang myself up on the slopes. We're avid snowboarders, climbers, hikers, and surfers (although that's hard to do at the lake!). We love to travel, which is what brought us here to Lake Tahoe in the first place.
My parents are my partners in owning Hidden Serenity. My father has worked as a USPS employee until his recent retirement. My mother still works at Kaiser, where she's been for over 30 years. I wanted to find them a place with clean air and convenience that they could enjoy, and we're lucky to have found it at Hidden Serenity Lodge.
Peter Hsu purchased this cabin in 2012
We live in the South Bay Area, but found we were visiting Lake Tahoe far too often, so we started looking for a place in the Summer of 2012. We visited a few different houses, but we fell in love immediately with the surrounding and location of Hidden Serenity Lodge.
We'd love to share the intimacy of the location with you.
The house is in a great, convenient location and in a quiet, serene setting. We were there in the winter and loved that is was close to Squaw and Alpine ski areas, and warm in the cold weather. It was very clean, had a great dining room and a fabulous living room and a sauna that we enjoyed after a long day of skiing. If you come in the winter and it snows you will need AWD or chains to get out of the driveway. The kitchen is a bit small and the refrigerator was way too small for us since we are foodies, otherwise worked fine. The owner was very accomodating and bought a blender and food processor when I asked if they had one.
I stayed here with my husband, parents, and kids. It was the perfect getaway from our hectic lives. The location was really close to downtown Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe, with many restaurants and shopping. We were able to walk there and avoid the busy summer crowds. The cabin was clean and instructions were very easy and convenient. We will definitely be back.
What a gorgeous getaway! We recently stayed at Hidden Serenity Lodge with friends for two nights while it was snowing. Waking up in the morning and staring out the bedroom window at the tree branches covered in snow is something I will remember forever! It was beautiful and the location was peaceful, yet close to many great restaurants and the grocery store in Tahoe City. The house was very clean and well taken care of and the layout was really great for entertaining and hanging out in the evening.
best holidays with our family, simple, nice, confortable!!! everything work and nice peple to deal with. will be back again for sure. also well located.
Perfect location! Hidden Serenity Lodge is less than half a mile to gorgeous Lake Tahoe, but is in an exceptionally quiet setting.
A short 10 minute walk to Lake Tahoe, as well as all other amenities of Tahoe City - fine dining, shopping, ski/snow shops, parks, bike rentals, kayak rentals, and so much more.
For the skiers and riders: We're less than 20 minutes to Squaw Valley and Alpine and 25 minutes to Northstar at Tahoe.
Hidden Serenity Lodge borders Tahoe National Forest, with miles of hiking/back country skiing available.
