An open and spacious floor plan awaits you including 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms that comfortably sleeps six. Fishing is the name of the game on this lake and the covered boathouse has a slip waiting for your boat! There is a nearby boat ramp just a short run to our dock. Run your boat east up the Withlacoochee River to the sparkling clear waters of the Rainbow River where you can swim, tube, fish or tie your boat and dine at one of two waterfront restaurants in Dunnellon. If you boat west to Inglis Dam you can tie up and hike the nature trails.
A short trip by car takes you to Dunnellon’s antique shops, boat rentals, diving, snorkeling, and tubing adventures on the Rainbow River and Rainbow River State Park. Travel south to Crystal River and swim with manatees or trailer your boat to have access to the Gulf of Mexico for saltwater fishing. So much to see and do!
The house was immaculate, the website pictures were very accurate, the owner very accomodating. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and hope to visit again.
We were delighted with the property. Plenty of room for the two of us. A great kitchen and the master bedroom opened direly on to the pool. The oak trees draped with Spanish moss and the lake area are all as described and portrayed. We loved the pool and used it frequently. We rented a boat at the Blue Gator and brought it to the house -- this is supposedly not allowed because there are cypress knees downriver where the channel markers start, but that part of the river is some of the loveliest and is filled with wildlife including an amazing aviary. We enjoyed eating out at several spots including the Blue Gator and Stumpknockers in Dunnellon and several restaurants in Crystal River. A scalloping expedition is well worth your time. We had a scallop feast along with some excellent steaks from the nearby meat market. The house is clean, in good repair, and very easy living. Thank you from a couple from New Mexico.
We had a great time at the house. The fire pit was great and all the neighbors were friendly! The kids enjoyed the pool and swing and the accomodations were better than expected. The Parks are very close and we had a wonderful, relaxing trip!
My husband and I along with another couple stayed in this house for three weeks this month. We are golfers so it was in a perfect location for us. The house was very clean, lots of room and pretty much everything you would need was there. It is a very quiet area, sitting outside in the screened pourch each evening was awesome. The guys enjoyed being able to fish off the dock in the back yard every evening. The pool is very nice. The kyacks are a nice thing to have, we enjoyed taking them out on the lake.
When ever we had a question the owners were very helpful and responded right away.
We glofed at the El Deablo course the whole time we were there, they are a fantastic group of people. Everyone was very nice and helpful.
We do plan to go back to this unit again next year. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
Four of us (two couples) just returned from renting this house for three weeks. The house is clean, well equipped and in a great location that is peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of more commercial areas. We golfed, kayaked, fished and barbecued to our hearts content. The lake is beautiful and there are plenty of birds and gators to watch and photograph. We will definitely book this house again.
We had a great vacation. Everything was just like the website shows and the owners were very helpful in helping us find out about local places to rent a boat. We enjoyed the place so much that it was hard to narrow it down to the best experience about this rental. We enjoyed the patio in the early morning and the evening, the pool to swim in on the hot summer days, fishing off the dock and catching bream - we had a fish fry, the fire pit and making s'mores, cooking on the grill, kayaking on the river and the lake, and just relaxing around the house. It was hard to think what could have been done to make our stay more enjoyable. It was a relaxing time away to get refreshed. If you want a relaxing vacation that is away from the commotion of the city but not too far from the attractions then I would highly recommend staying Thanks for having such a great place to rent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We created new memories as a family and would definitely stay again.
Travel to Historic Dunnellon and indulge in antique shopping, a terrific variety of restaurants and boat tours and rentals. Visit Rainbow Springs State Park where you can swim and snorkel the sparkling Rainbow River, hike the walking paths and tube or kayak the Rainbow River. There are three local Golf Courses including Citrus Springs Golf and Country Club, Juliette Falls Golf and El Diablo Golf and Country Club.
We are located approx. 95 minutes northwest of Walt Disney World, Orlando and Tampa. Convenient to major airports and Theme Parks. We are also just 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico where you can swim with the Manatees and just over 2 hours from Daytona Beach.
