Frank and Neil are East coast transplants of many years who love the walkable urban advantages of West Hollywood, while still enjoying the comfortable and stunning California weather.
Frank Slesinski or Neil Tadken purchased this condo in 1993
Perfect location in a walkable community, with all of Southern California at your fingertips. 4 major freeways within 20 minutes drive. Loved the high ceilings and fireplaces, especially in the Master suite. Perfect for us as a professional couple who appreciate the low maintenance advantages of a townhouse, while enjoying an elegant turnkey lifestyle.
Close to all the major tourist, entertainment, business centers and studios of Los Angeles/Valley and the West side.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here! We flew in from the UK and it was nice to have a relaxing place to unwind. All my family was able to visit and our daughter loved the watching the coys in the pond outside. Thank you!
When we travel we like to feel as though we are part of the neighborhood, not tourists. So location is critical for us. We loved that we could walk to the grocery store daily, walk to a great coffee spot (Alfred's on Melrose) and yet still an easy, short, drive to hit the iconic spots (because you have to do that, too, right?)
Plus, I loved that we felt like we were home. I doubt that this initially was meant as a rental--too many high end details that you would choose for yourself--carrara marble bathroom with skylight over the tub?, integrated music system with speakers in every room? (including the aforementioned luxury bath)--this surely was meant to be their home when they remodeled. I imagine that's why it felt so much like home... (did I mention the comfy beds and pillows???? best sleeps ever...)
The owners never bothered us, but when we needed them for a wifi fix they were immediately responsive.
Garaged parking for two cars is terrific, too. Initially we drove everywhere until we discovered Uber. Great app for West Hollywood...car was never more than a few minutes away (most times less than a minute) and the fares are cheap. Great way to get around when you think parking might be a problem.
Back to the location--equidistant from Melrose and Santa Monica..both with enough restaurants etc. to keep you entertained far longer than you have time for...the townhouse is just a few block walk from the very Luxury end of Melrose with all the high-end designers from Alexander McQueen to Herve Leger...fun to window shop!
and then in the opposite direction just a few blocks to Santa Monica--fun for the mere mortals..
Don't hesitate to rent this property...there were no downsides.
L. O. V. E.D I.T.!!! My husband and I spent three months in this beautiful home. Walked to everything! Have rented many places in West Hollywood over the years, and this one is the best- est!
This place was great and ideally situated for someone who needs to be in the centre of West Hollywood and handy for all areas of Los Angeles.
The townhouse was wonderfully attired and we were greeted by Frank with a glass of cold wine and a tour of the house.
I was in LA for business and have lived there in the past so I found the townhouse location handy for my meetings and to get wherever I needed to be.
We could park downstairs and soon made the place home.
A Gelson's supermarket at the top of the road is so convenient for all your needs, so we grabbed food from there all during our stay or ate at the variety of cafes and restaurants in the near locale.
Staying in hotels in LA has become so expensive in recent years that this is the only way I stay in LA now.
Neil and Frank are really nice hosts and the transactions could not have been more straightforward.
They were always there if we needed them (which was only once) and they were always happy to help.
All in all it was a successful trip business wise and made all the more happier by having a wonderful place to stay and in a location that was handy for everything.
100% five stars!!! The townhouse was exquisitely appointed and well located. The place was spotless and everything was well maintained. Just as pictured and described on this website. We enjoyed walking a few blocks occasionally for access to great restaurants and shopping. We had a rental car and drove within 20 minutes to the popular tourist spots - Universal Studios, Grumman's Chinese, etc. I did the driving and found the location very convenient to all the major thoroughfares, as well as the airport we arrived at. The townhouse owners were hospitable, and we had everything we needed. They met us personally, but also left us a helpful binder with recommendations for local restaurants. We especially enjoyed their suggestions for Taco Tuesdays at Marix and breakfast at Basix - both within walking distance. Our family of four was very comfortable and we very much enjoyed the extras like the top shelf appliances, balcony with waterfall, underground parking, and WI-FI and Netflix. The town house was a great part of what may be our best vacation ever! The town house is decorated with unique expensive items, and is not appropriate for families with young children. There is a single flight of steps to access the bedrooms and the washer/dryer, not a problem for most but worth knowing if anyone in your party has accessibility issues. Since our family would have required two hotel rooms, it was even a thrifty choice. I would not hesitate to book again or recommend to others. THANK YOU!!
