3 bedroom 2.75 bath nestled in Cool Pines sleeps 9-11

This 2200 SF cabin on 3 levels is perfect for families looking to get away, writers or painters looking for quiet and inspiration, or outdoorsy types looking for a jumping off point for hiking, fishing, skiing, hunting, mountain biking or kayaking.

This house is the perfect blend of modern finishes with rustic touches. You'll feel like you're in your own home, but one look outside reminds you that you are truly away from it all!

The main floor has a family room with 2 comfy deep couches to watch the fireplace or TV/DVD unit plus dining for 8 and a reading nook. The soaring A-frame kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, spices, plus dishwasher, microwave and gas stove. The main floor queen bedroom is right across from the full bath with Jacuzzi jets for you to soak after a long day outdoors. Step out onto the 200 SF covered front deck in the morning with 4 Adirondack chairs to drink your coffee and look at Strawberry Mountain. In the afternoon, enjoy the partially covered 500 SF back deck with chaise lounges, over-sized benches to seat 14(!!) and gas grill. The lot is almost an acre, with tall pines shading you from the summer sun, or gently holding the winter's light dusting of snow.

The upstairs floor has a queen bedroom with treetop views, a bathroom, and a loft with sleeper sofa you reach by walking across an interior wooden bridge. Many an impromptu kids' talent show have taken place on that bridge with the audience looking up from the main floor below. The loft also has a telescope for gazing at the starry night skies you don't see in more populated areas.

The lower floor has 2 bunk beds (twin/twin and a twin/full) with Paul Frank themed sheets, a full bath for your little monkeys, and a game area with TV/DVD/VCR plus puzzles, dress-up, some Barbies and other games. You may also be able to find art supplies, books, and a horseshoe set. The walkout double door in the game area is also the perfect morning viewing area for the family of deer that live right across the driveway near the shed.

If you feel like you need to leave our wonderful cabin, town is just a short downhill walk, quick bike ride or lightening fast drive. Restaurants, bars, antique stores, and multiple ice cream shops are all centrally located on Highway 87. The town of Strawberry is 3 miles north, and Payson 13 miles south. We can give you recommendations, as well as some insight to their somewhat quirky hours.

We live in the Valley of the Sun and have enjoyed using our cabin to get away from the heat of the summer and enjoy the snow in the winter. For the last 3 years, we have been remodeling. Now that it is finished, we want to share our home with others who want to build memories with their families, but still want all the comforts of home.

What makes this cabin unique

Your blood pressure will drop as soon as you make the last turn onto our street, and the pines almost touch each other overhead. Pull into the driveway and sink into the Adirondack chairs, or walk out the back deck to enjoy the chaise lounges while your kids swing. Take a nap on the hammock with sun shining gently through the trees, or roast marshmallows around the outdoor firepit. If it is too cold, build a fire in the family room and kick your feet up on the coffee table while you snuggle underneath furry blankets.

What fun!!

This place fit our family perfectly! We took our mother there for mothers day. We ended up with 6 adults and 1 child and there was plenty of space for everyone with room to spare. This place was well appointed and everything was well labeled. It felt like our home away from home and hope to have the opportunity to stay at this location again and again. Anita was wonderful to work with as well. She was very kind and informative. Pine is a cute little town and a great escape from the heat.

Very Comfortable Stay

I was initially concerned that the house could not accommodate 11 people like the listing boasted. But when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find many areas for us to sleep and to spread out. The finished basement with 2 sets of bunks, the upstairs loft with 2 queen beds and the main floor with another queen bed provided ample space for all of our little kids and families.

Other wonderful touches: House was sparkling clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of silverware/plates, plenty of blankets for us Phoenicians to keep warm on the snowy days, a lot of wood to throw in the fire, beautiful and cozy deco, quality towels, and even sleds to borrow.

All in all, this home provided everything we needed and then some. We look forward to going back again!

Beautiful Place!!

I've stayed at the cabin twice, before it was on VRBO. The place is amazing! Warm, cozy, well appointed and relaxing. Both the front and back decks are absolutely beautiful. The town of Pine has a few wonderful restaurants, and the "That Place" microbrewery is not to missed. Whether you want a romantic weekend getaway, or a fun vacation with the whole family, this place is perfect.
