Everything you need in a home away from home. All appliances ( dishwasher, stove, fridge, washer, dryer), all linen's, bath towels, and kitchen tools... Two queen size, very comfortable beds, plus a comfortable twin bed. One bedroom in open concept loft with a skylight for viewing the stars and moon, and one bedroom on main floor. Heated concrete flooring, new, quality construction. Picture window over the tub, allows for deer viewing or birdwatching while bathing...40' Flat screen T.V with Blueray DVD and Netflix, DVD's also included, stereo and some c.d's. Woodstove for ambiance mostly...as the floors keep you toasty and warm in winter. Original Art on the walls and tastefully decorated to promote serenity in simplicity.Trails only 2 mins out the door, down a rustic country road that ends just past the cottage, so no traffic to speak of...VERY QUIET and VERY PRIVATE. The cottage is an open concept bright and clean place to be. Good vibes found here. The covered porches include seating and BBQ. Many studio's nearby and farms for fresh produce. Beaches are all only minutes away by foot or car...about 12 km's from Ganges in the North End of Salt Spring. Forest and Deer surround this lovely little home away from home....

About Sheridan Cass

We purchased our property in 2004, but only finished building the cottage on it in 2010, we just completed our first full year of renting out the cottage...It has been wonderful meeting new people from all over the world.

I ( Sheridan) am a healer ( Massage Therapist, Cranio-Sacral Therapist and Energy Healer) I have been working from a studio on the property since moving here and have been working in this field since 1996. My husband built the cottage and we designed the cottage together. He works for a high end builder here on Salt Spring as his full time job. We are also the very proud parents of twin girls who are nearly 11 yrs old. We would love to travel more ourselves and hope the cottage gives us the opportunity to do so!

What makes this cottage unique

The unique benefits of this property and the cottage is the very private and quiet location. It is 'off the beaten path' and this is exactly what we were looking for as a place to call home and feel our kids were safe and free to just 'be' here, and not hear the sounds of traffic and 'rat race' anywhere nearby. Yet close enough to not feel 'isolated'. It's a special place to find solace, retreat and peace.

The cottage is a very private and serene retreat. On the property is the owners healing arts studio. Within walking distance on the same road is a couple of art studio, one classic art, and the other folk art. A 15 min walk gets you to a small but 'private' public beach...a forest trail leads you there. Studio's and hikes are the two main attractions on Salt Spring as well as many restaurants and galleries... Many people come here to get away and relax, perhaps to heal as well....
