About Tracy Ragsdale

Got sandals? I grew up a desert rat, and I love the rich smells and vibrant colors of the desert. Then there are the quail and the roadrunners who win my heart every time I see them. The desert is a uniquely beautiful place, and there is nothing better than letting one's toes breath in a pair of comfortable sandals in the warm desert sunshine.

Tracy Ragsdale purchased this house in 2012

Why Tracy Ragsdale chose La Quinta

My husband and I now live in the Pacific Northwest, another especially beautiful part of the country, but let's face it, an old desert dweller has got to see the sun now and then. We hope you will enjoy and take care of our 'sun' retreat, as much as we do. So, hello La Quinta, hello sandals!

What makes this house unique

There is nothing more magical to me than 'purple mountain majesty' coupled with the beautiful orange and red sky which predominates the southwestern sky. Casa de la Hermosa Cielo, the House of the Beautiful Sky, aka Casa Hermosa, not only offers an every changing, brilliant and captivating sky, but it also offers the charm of a Santa Fe, and innumerable close by activities to enrich and fill one's days.

Perfect for our family of 5

  • 5 of 5

If you want a peaceful, private and pleasant get away, this is the place for you. It is a small but charming little home in La Quinta cove. They have certainly made the most of this corner lot with a beautiful backyard saltwater pool, Jacuzzi, fire pit, gas grill, and even pool misters. The backyard is completely wild in for total privacy. It had everything my family needed and Tracy was wonderful to work with. She seem to be on top of every single detail and was concerned with the quality of our stay. Would go back again to this little gem.

Casa Hermosa Vacay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for Christmas and New Year's at this lovely home in the La Quinta Cove. The salt water pool was wonderful for taking a swim when the sun toasted the patio, and the views of the Santa Rosa mountains from the living room are balm for the eyes. I especially enjoyed the close proximity to the village and waking trails in the desert park. Tracy was a very gracious host who addressed any problem promptly and fully. Will recommend to friends.

La Quinta Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our week long stay in November at this property which exceeded it's billing! The house had everything we needed for our stay and was in a very convenient location close to town and hiking trails. Tracy was very welcoming and quickly responded to our questions and gave great advise on what to do and see in the area.

We are looking forward to our next stay at our home in La Quinta!

Thanksgiving vacation

  • 5 of 5

Nice house with a pool and spa. Kitchen was nice and we cooked for Thanksgiving. Owner was very nice and responded quickly to my calls. We would stay again. The coffee house in Old Town was great and there was a farmer's market on Sunday. It was a nice walk into town.

Birthday Get Away

  • 5 of 5

It has been a little while since we have stayed at the house but we just had to write our review. We could have not asked for a better experience, everything was as we expected and more. We went to re-charge our batteries and believe me we picked the right location and house. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. Tracy was the best to work with before, during and after the rental time. If you go you must explore the local restaurants, we enjoyed the “Old Town Coffee House” in the morning, Stuft was a great lunch or quick dinner location and if you enjoy Italian food everyone must try Bucatini Trattoria. We were celebrating a Birthday and Tracy was nice enough to have a “bottle of bubbly” waiting for us in the fridge (thanks again Tracy). When we return to the area for another week of “battery re-charging” we will be calling Tracy.

Couldn't be better

  • 5 of 5

On less than a day's notice, we were able to get this property, and couldn't have asked for anything better. Comfy, airy, well-equipped. We felt at home immediately. Private and pleasant pool. Friendly and rapid response from owner, Tracy. Sorry we had to leave after only four days!

Old Town La Quinta

La Quinta Cove is desert magic, a quiet neighborhood, where the town ends and the desert begins. Within minutes you can be hiking in the beauty of the desert, under the warm sunshine, and taking in beautiful flora and fauna unique to the desert. Old Town La Quinta is just moments away with food and drink, and shopping for all. Golfing is ever where in La Quinta and in Coachella Valley with numerous excellent courses to chose from. Need to pamper yourself, try the fabulous spa at the Waldorf Astoria's La Quinta Resort and Club, only minutes away from the Cove. There is no shortage of other activities to do, such as biking, horseback riding, jeep tours, the theatre, festivals, concerts, day trips to major tourist attractions, like Disneyland, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, etc. Or forget the hustle and bustle and just relax by the saltwater pool and spa, and take in a few rays of sun.
