This professionally decorated, 1225 sq. ft., single story villa is located in Inverness, less than an hour and a half from Orlando and Tampa (Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and the Tampa Aquarium).
This particular villa is one of the nicest and largest in the community, with skylights, spacious rooms, and a location only steps from the heated community pool. Enjoy the boat docks, and the short scenic nature trail, all within the complex. You'll spend a lot of time in this unit's large glassed/screened lanai, where you can watch blue herons and sandhill cranes walk by. This villa is well equipped to provide you with everything you need to feel at home in your vacation rental.
You'll love being only a couple of blocks from the 46 mile Withlacoochee State Trail, the longest rail-trail in Florida. Walk or bike the trail (2 bikes included for your enjoyment) just one mile to arrive at Wallace Brooks Park, where you can eat your picnic lunch, fish off the pier, or just enjoy the scenery on Lake Henderson. From there walk a few short blocks to Historic Downtown Inverness, where you can enjoy quaint shops, great restaurants/bars, and the historic Courthouse Museum.
Drive just 20 minutes east to the Gulf, and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Kings Bay, Three Sisters Springs, and Homosassa Springs State Park. There you can choose to either watch or swim and snorkel with the manatees.
We're 'snowbirds,' who live in Inverness during part of the winter and in Indiana the rest of the time. We love the winter climate here in Inverness - not too hot, not too cold - just right! We are both retired schoolteachers, but we keep busy as owners of two self-storage facilities and a rock and mineral business that we've had for the past 35 years!
Christine Berliner purchased this villa in 2012
We love the Inverness Landing community, where we live for 3-4 months of the year. This is the fourth villa we've purchased in this community. After you rent for one season, you'll want to buy a villa here, also! This particular property caught our eye because of the tasteful furnishings and quality features throughout the unit.
We had a wonderful time at Chris and Howard's condo. It was filled with helpful little touches....everything we needed to know about the condo, the association, and the local area was right at our fingertips. The pool is right across the street, so convenient! The condo was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we could need. There are even two bikes for the bike trail. Owls were nesting down the street, and we walked down to see them every day. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend Chris and Howard's condo!
Clean, quiet, well stocked villa. Shopping close by and lots to see; state parks, fairs, bike/walking trails, flea markets. Close to Orlando and Tampa for day trips.
Owners Chris and Howard are a delight and any concerns/wants/needs, are taken care of immediately.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again next year. Would definitely recommend.
The Villa exceeded expectations. Spacious, very clean, beautifully decorated, and all rooms completely stocked with everything anyone could want. The master bedroom with it's extremely comfortable King size bed, large walk-in closet and sliding glass doors to the lanai was perfect. We used the biking and walking trail every day. The landlords are great people and their preparation for your stay is superb.
We found this villa to be just as nice as it was advertised. We were so comfortable and felt very much at home. We were very close to the bicycle path, which we used every day. We enjoy biking and walking and the proximity of this home to the path is excellent. The villa had everything we needed to feel relaxed and happy, we would definitely enjoy staying there again in the future.
This was by far the best vacation condo we have ever stayed in. So much thought to every detail in the condo has been given by Christine and Howard to make it a perfect vacation place. All the information was on hand for sightseeing, attractions, activities etc. Location was great and the community residents very friendly. Our thanks to you both for being so caring and helpful. We highly recommend this beautiful property.
This unit in Inverness Landing is highly recommended. Chris and Howard are dream landlords. The unit is clean, very well appointed and the area is quiet, safe and has everything local that might be needed. The residents in the Landing are friendly and welcoming to snowbirds. Our visitors were very impressed with the unit and area.
There are several golf courses in the area, including Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club and Black Diamond Ranch. Wildlife parks abound, including Rainbow Springs State Park, Homosassa Wildlife Park, Ft. Cooper State Park (1 mile away), and Crystal River Preserve State Park. If you're interested in archaeology, be sure to visit Yulee Sugarmill Ruins. Interested in antiques and shopping? You can find many quaint stores in downtown Inverness, and nearby Mt. Dora and Dade City are noted for their many antique shops. This area is known for its large manatee population during the cooler months. Enjoy snorkeling or swimming with the manatees in Crystal River - an unbelievable experience!
