This professionally decorated, 1225 sq. ft., single story villa is located in Inverness, less than an hour and a half from Orlando and Tampa (Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, and the Tampa Aquarium).
This particular villa is one of the nicest and largest in the community, with skylights, spacious rooms, and a location only steps from the heated community pool. Enjoy the boat docks, the short scenic nature trail, and shuffleboard, all within the complex. You'll spend a lot of time in this unit's large glassed/screened lanai, where you can watch blue herons and sandhill cranes walk by. This villa is well equipped to provide you with everything you need to feel at home in your vacation rental.
You'll love being only a couple of blocks from the 46 mile Withlacoochee State Trail, the longest rail-trail in Florida. Walk or bike the trail (2 bikes included for your enjoyment) just one mile to arrive at Wallace Brooks Park, where you can eat your picnic lunch, fish off the pier, or just enjoy the scenery on Lake Henderson. From there walk a few short blocks to Historic Downtown Inverness, where you can enjoy quaint shops, great restaurants/bars, and the historic Courthouse Museum.
Drive just 20 minutes east to the Gulf, and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Kings Bay, Three Sisters Springs, and Homosassa Springs State Park. There you can choose to either watch or swim and snorkel with the manatees.

We're 'snowbirds,' who live in Inverness during part of the winter and in Indiana the rest of the time. We love the winter climate here in Inverness - not too hot, not too cold - just right! We are both retired schoolteachers, but we keep busy as owners of two self-storage facilities and a rock and mineral business that we've had for the past 35 years!
We love the Inverness Landing community, where we live for 3-4 months of the year. This is the fourth villa we've purchased in this community. After you rent for one season, you'll want to buy a villa here, also! This particular property caught our eye because of the tasteful furnishings and quality features throughout the unit.
There are several golf courses in the area, including Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club and Black Diamond Ranch. Wildlife parks abound, including Rainbow Springs State Park, Homosassa Wildlife Park, Ft. Cooper State Park (1 mile away), and Crystal River Preserve State Park. If you're interested in archaeology, be sure to visit Yulee Sugarmill Ruins. Interested in antiques and shopping? You can find many quaint stores in downtown Inverness, and nearby Mt. Dora and Dade City are noted for their many antique shops. This area is known for its large manatee population during the cooler months. Enjoy snorkeling or swimming with the manatees in Crystal River - an unbelievable experience!
