You have everything you need at the villa for a lazy day round the pool on a sun bed. Or you could sit in the shade of the patio area adjacent to it which has comfy chairs and sofa with a large dining table & American style BBQ.

The kitchen is fully equipped for home dining, including a microwave, sandwich maker and large fridge freezer.

We have a large flat screen TV and DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs & a range of local satellite channels. We also have wireless broadband so you can use your own laptop or Wi-Fi device.

The lounge and kitchen areas are bright and airy with patio windows & doors with fly screens giving a great through flow of air. All rooms have ceiling fans & air-con. The main bathroom has a shower over, there’s an en-suite in the downstairs bedroom and a handy outside shower area by the pool.

There’s covered parking for 2 cars. The pool & grounds are maintained regularly, the house and fittings are to a high standard & all towels & bed linen are of excellent quality.

Villa Belle Vie is in the Pernera area of Protaras in a quiet residential cul de sac.Pernera a family focused resort with nearby sandy beaches and many water sport facilities at various of the beautiful bays in the immediate area.There is a very good yet not rowdy night life in Penera with an great selection of restaurants, bars and cafes within a 10 minute stroll from the villa. This Eastern coast area of Cyprus is famed for its beautiful beaches and blue crystal clear water. Protaras Water Park is located nearby.There is also a lovely walkway that has recently been constructed along the water front from Penera to Protaras. It takes 25 minutes to walk and is lined by bars and restaurants. Going in the other direction, Kaparris is also a great area for a wide range of good quality bars and restaurants. This is about a 15-20 minute stroll or 3 minutes by car.

Dean & Christina are a couple from Manchester with 3 daughters. We bought in Cyprus as we felt it was a friendly, beautiful safe holiday destination for ourselves in retirement and our daughters families

Dean Scholes purchased this villa in 2005

It is close to the beech and the town but it is also in a residential cul de sac that is very safe for children. The pool is overlooked from most areas of the property which again made it feel safe for bringing our grandchildren.

There is a mix of Cypriot and British owners on the close, some of whom live here permanently, so it feels more like home away from home as opposed to purely being populated by holiday makers.

The outside sitting area gets a breeze from the sea which for me (Dean) was essential, I can't take too much heat.

We have a view from the back of the house over to the sea and great views over Farmagusta out to the 'Pan Handle' of Northern Cyprus

With a downstairs bedroom and en suite and 2 beds and a bathroom upstairs families can create separate areas for themselves

The house is in a very quiet area and yet we can still walk to beeches, bars and restaurants.

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY

This was our third stay at this lovely villa. The owners could not have been more helpful, everything we needed was there for our comfort. Previous visitors have put comments for local eateries and tourist spots in a folder left for that purpose by the owners and it was really helpful to see what people thought of local places. The villa is lovely and clean and spacious and lounging by the pool was just what was needed after a busy time at work. We visited this time with 2 friends but have been with our family on the other occasions. We have even booked next years break already.

YET ANOTHER LOVELY BREAK.

It's really lovely to know that a welcoming, comfortable house awaits after months of slaving away at the coalface (sort of...)

I love this house, and I like the locals and I like being able to just relax as soon as I get here. You just know when you arrive that everything is clean and waiting for you to enjoy as a home-from home. The outside patio area is as user friendly as you could wish - comfortable, stylish, safe and unfussy. Inside and out, this house has all you need for a really great holiday.

The supermarket (Orpheniedes) isn't too expensive, and the red and white wine in boxes is very palatable - although the restaurants are taking their time opening; we had less choice than last year, but Mojito and a refurbished Windmills were good value. Also had a lovely lunch at the upstairs restaurant by The Black Pearl in the harbour at Ayia Napa (Esperaiso?? Drive over there - you'll know where I mean) - the weather probably helped, but the sardines were superb!

The boardwalk is now complete and is a great way to get into Protaras and Fig Tree Bay, and a drive into Kapparis is well worth it for a supermarket that never seems to close - first on the left as you drive in.

Traditional holiday destinations will die if we all use 'All Inclusive' but as long as lovely homes like this are still on the market I think there's hope yet!

SAVING FOR NEXT TRIP!

If, like us, you want value for money and a home from home on your trips abroad, then look no further than this villa. It is extremely clean, comfortable and well looked after. It's not styled to within an inch of its life and has all the user-friendly facilities you need to enjoy your holiday.

The house will easily accommodate up to six adults; a family of four, plus grandparents would be just as comfortable. The downstairs bedroom, with facilities, would be ideal for those who find stairs a problem. The covered patio area is fabulous from morning to night, providing plenty of space to eat, sit, towel off after a dip in the pool, play cards, read a book...and for anyone who likes a glass of wine or beer, I can guarantee that the chairs outside are no more than ten steps away from the fridge - I know because I've counted!

The house is in a lovely quiet area and is within easy (flat) walking distance of some smashing restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Pinia, a proper taverna on the road to Golden Coast Hotel; very reasonably priced and great food. If you like Italian, try Nautilus on the main road but NOT if Windmills Bar is having a karaoke night - it's horrendously noisy! Alita is newish, on the sea front - food and value are reasonable.

Protaras is a pleasant walk away along the sea front - a smashing walk even for those with an aversion to excercise. For a real party head to Ayia Napa - about 15 euros in a taxi from the local rank. If you're not sure about anything, ask the neighbours, they're lovely people and very knowledgeable.

A car will pay its way on the airport/supermarket runs although not strictly necessary.

We're already saving up for the next visit - see you next year!

WE HAD 2 FABULOUS WEEKS AT IN AUGUST (2010)

The villa itself is ideally situated in a quiet cul de sac and very easy to find even without your excellent directions supplied in plenty of time before we travelled. Despite the quiet location other visitors can be reassured that all amenities can be easily got to even without a car (I would, however, recommend hiring a car in Cyprus). A large and fully stocked supermarket (Orphanides) is only minutes away and the small harbour is only a 15 minute (flat) walk. Excellent and reasonably priced restaurants or tavernas are all within walking distance and even more are only a short drive away.

The villa is very nicely decorated, very clean and bright. All rooms are of a good size and all windows are fitted with good fly screens allowing the windows to be opened to allow a lovely breeze to flow throughout the house. For the faint hearted, during the high temperature summer months, there is an excellent air conditioning system to allow comfortable nights. Added bonuses are the bedroom fitted ceiling fans which further allow a comfortable night’s sleep. An additional consideration is the downstairs bedroom with full en suite facilities which is an excellent provision for less abled visitors.

The large main living space is combined with a spacious dining area and both are very well equipped with all the latest mod cons (including a vast fridge freezer, modern dual fuel cooker and hob, large flat screen HD TV, satellite TV, DVD player etc – a nice consideration is the large supply of DVDs and books to suit all tastes). Did I mention the free WiFi internet too? Don’t bring anything from home as it’s all here!

Not to be missed is the al fresco dining experience provided by the well thought out covered patio area which provides a welcome shaded shelter from the heat of the summer sun – this is where we spent most of our time during the days we chose not to venture out. All patio furniture, including very comfortable soft cushioned chairs, a large dining table and sunbeds, is provided. The large gas barbecue was also well used and enjoyed by us all! The shaded car port on the other side of the villa prevents your car becoming a mobile oven when parked up and not in use.

The pool is of a good size and safe. My nine year old nephew spent virtually his entire holiday enjoying the pool and we were in it virtually every day too!

The house is in a quiet residential area catering for holiday home owners, their guests & some permanent British & Cypriot residents. We are at the head of a quiet cul de sac & the grounds & pool area, which are maintained throughout the year, are fully enclosed & gated.

We are about 3-5 minutes drive (15 - 30 minute walk) from Protoras, Kapparis & Paralimni. The bus stop is 2 minutes walk.

Within walking distance (and without the need to cross any major roads) are the sea, beaches, shops, bars & restaurants of Penera. The nearest beach and marina is the Golden Coast (about 10 minutes walk). Going to your left from here there are easy coastal walks that pass the beautiful Ayia Triada & Fireman’s Bays & on to the viewing points of Famagusta. Turning the other way takes you toward Protoras, Fig Tree Bay & on down the coast to Cape Greco. The views are stunning, sunbathing opportunities vast, with good quality food & drink is in abundance along the way. Enjoy!!!

  • The bathrooms are modern and have good storage for toiletries, the main bathroom has cupboards for towels etc. All towels, with the exception of beach / pool towels are supplied. The upstairs bathroom is bright, fully tiled and has a toilet, washbasin and bath with shower over. The downstairs bedroom has a shower cubicle and a small separate room that has a washbasin & loo, with good space for toiletries etc. Outside there is a shower by the pool intended for simply cooling off during the day and to remove sun creams and oils before sitting on the furniture inside the house. We also use this quite a lot when the weather is fine for general showering - try it - you really feel like you are on holiday!

  • All bedrooms are light and airy & have excellent quality furniture and fittings with ample wardrobe and drawer / shelf space. All of them have ceiling fans and are air-conditioned and all have a wonderful through flow of air with windows and patio doors in all rooms. Bedroom one is downstairs and has it's own shower area and separate wash room & w/c. There's a large picture window looking over the rear of the property over farm land to the sea and a patio window that opens out onto the downstairs patio area. Bedroom 2 is a large double room with two picture windows and a patio door to the front balcony with chairs and table overlooking the pool. Bed 3 has two large single beds (3'6' wide) and two patio windows. It has its own balcony to the rear with table and chairs and has a patio door leading to the front balcony also accessed from bed 1. Beds 2 & 3 share the main family bathroom. The balcony walls are of a very safe height but guests must be aware of safety at all times.

Notes:
There's all you need at the house for a 'home from home' comfortable stay, Whilst the cul de sac location gives a safe quiet environment., you also have beaches, bars and restaurants in easy distance. What this house offers that many don't is a large covered patio area that gives a shaded very comfortable area with both lounge seating and a large dining area that comfortably seats six. This has large sliding doors on one end and a canopy that can be lowered at the other to give an ideal outside area for relaxing in throughout the day, and evening even if it gets chilly. We are flexible on dates although at the height of the season this does become more difficult to achieve. We do ask that there is no smoking inside the house and that adults take care of children and do not, under any circumstances, leave them unattended on balconies and around the pool area.
