*NEW* GEORGETOWN SOUTHERN BELL AVAILABLE NOW!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property for 10 days. My party consisted of my husband & I, our 4-year old son, 13-month old baby & my husband's mother.
Upon arrival, we were very impressed with the size, layout & furnishings. We had no problems 'baby proofing' both stairwells.
The layout was:
-Upstairs: gorgeous master bedroom with a stunning ensuite including a double shower and jacuzzi (the kids loved their bathtime in there!), a double room (used for our baby) and a tiny single room (used by our 4-year old). There was a cozy bathroom with a small bath just outside the kids' rooms but we didn't use it for anything other that the toilet due to the jacuzzi.
-Main level: a formal lounge room, a dining room with plenty of seating, and a kitchen with a small dining area to the side which opened onto a small back verandah.
-Downstairs: we used this as a self-contained granny flat for my husband's mother, which was nice because she was away from the noise of the kids early in the morning. She had a sitting room which opened onto the rear courtyard, a large bedroom, a very small bathroom and the laundry was also on this level. There was also a second kitchenette, which we didn't use.
We thought that both the kitchen and laundry were well equipped compared to other vacation rentals we have stayed at. There was laundry liquid, dish liquid, dishwasher tablets, paper towels etc. Each bathroom had hand soap and plenty of toilet paper and towels.
The kitchen was very nice and new and we had no problems preparing all our meals during our stay. There was plentiful crockery, cutlery & glassware & the large fridge had a water filter.
Overall, the house felt quite luxurious. There were two parking spaces at the rear. They were narrow but we got around this by letting passengers out of the right side of the car before we parked, to give the left side room to get out.
The Georgetown area is simply wonderful. The house is a 10 minute walk from M Street, the main drag, and there were many restaurants to chose from. The closest supermarket was Trader Joes and Whole Foods wasn't too much further. I highly recommend the pastrami sandwiches from the gourmet deli on the corner!
Only complaints: lack of full length mirrors thru-out & mirrors on main level, no door on upstairs single bedroom (how hard is this to install?!), downstairs bathroom needed updating, needs some baby things such as crib, high chair & baby gates on stairs to cater for families better
