Located only 7 miles from downtown Fredericksburg in the heart of the Texas Hill Country and Wine Country makes this the perfect place to get away, relax, or to enjoy all that Fredericksburg has to offer. The Guest Quarters were constructed inside of a large country barn overlooking Bear Creek on 33 acres.
Creekside was beautifully constructed and decorated in Texas Hill Country charm, antiques, and stained concrete floors. A large wood burning stone fireplace with a 40” HD flat screen is the focal point in the spacious living/dining area. This room has attention to detail with a vaulted ceiling constructed from long leaf pine reclaimed from a 1920’s German Homestead in addition to the custom cabinetry throughout. The kitchen has granite counter tops and is fully equipped with full size appliances, pot/pans, dishes. The bedroom also has a vaulted ceiling and is very cozy and quiet for a good night’s sleep on the luxury queen size mattress high thread count sheets. The bathroom is very spacious with a large walk in shower.
Outside, there is plenty of outdoor lighting and the huge pergola offers a place to relax, dine, or enjoy views of the Hill Country. In addition, there is also a wood burning stone fire pit with plenty of comfortable seating to break the winter chill to enjoy family/friends. The yard is beautifully landscaped with Texas native plants to attract butterflies and hummers. Be sure to explore the property to enjoy the abundant wildlife and song birds. You can also beat the heat by taking a short hike to the “swimming hole” for a dip in the clear waters of Bear Creek (during non-drought conditions).
We spent Valentine's Day weekend in Creekside Barn, just barely 10 minutes outside Fredericksburg. The barn has been beautifully refurnished; the interior and exterior has all the right Texas charm. In addition to the tasty dessert prepared for us before our arrival, the kitchen was stocked with cooking basics and more. The bathroom and bedroom were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The patio and creek-side area are perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning or a cozy fire at night. There's plenty of wildlife to spot on the property and on the drive into Frederickburg. We truly could not have asked for a more ideal getaway and we can't wait to return!
We arrived and there was a note from the owner and cookies on the table. The place was very clean and nicely decorated with a country charm. There is a large shower and bathroom. The bedroom had a queen size bed that was very comfortable. The outside had a nice sheeting area with fire pit next to the river. I can not say more about the outside due to it being cold when we were visiting. It is about 10 min S of Fredricksburg in the country. That was a good thing. We saw dear on the property everyday. This is a great accommodation and I look forward to some time when I can come back for a visit.
We spent Thanksgiving Weekend in this beautiful "barn" apartment. We were greeted by Shirley with a home-baked pecan pie, which was delicious. The apartment is well laid out, perfectly furnished and completely stocked with everything you need. Even coffee and tea are included. It would be lovely to be there during warmer temperatures, to sit under the pergola or around the campfire which was already built to be lit, also to swim in the creek. We loved watching the birds that came to the many feeders. The place was close enough to Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Enchanted Rock, or Lost Maples state parks, so convenient to lots of activities.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this property. It is first class. Far enough out of town and off busy road to be very quiet. Will definitely go back.
My husband and I have stayed at many b&b's over the years and this one by far had the nicest finishes; granite counter tops, brand new appliances, the walk in tiled shower, lovely landscaping and seating areas - the owner's spared no expense in making this "barn" feel luxurious. We spent alot of time just sitting under the oaks watching the birds and deer play near the creek. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a relaxing romantic getaway.
This awesome Creekside Barn rental is even prettier and cuter in person. The pictures are nice, but seeing it in person is well worth the trip. My husband and I stayed her for 4 nights. We were welcomed with wonderful fresh baked cookies. The owner came and greeted us as we were unloading our luggage. The owners husband is so nice and thoughtful as well. The cabin itself is so warm and welcoming. It is decorated with western items as well as antiques. The large walk in shower was so nice after a long day. The queen bed was very comfortable. Needless to say we slept very well. It was so peaceful and quiet. The outside patio area is beautiful. There were different areas to sit and just enjoy the beautiful country. Watching the deer in the morning and evenings was fun. After getting here you may not want to leave. We spent one day just chilling out. There is a grocery store on the way out of Fredericksburg going to the property. Might be well worth a stop because once you are here you may not want to leave. Fredericksburg is not far and we made two trips into town. We really hated to leave this wonderful property. Would highly recommend this property because it is so relaxing and peaceful. It was very clean and well kept. We found out that the owners built the cabin inside the barn by themselves and what a great job they did! We will definitely be back next year. Thank you to our gracious hosts for a wonderful stay!
