Welcome to DreamScape...This lovely two-story cottage is nestled in the trees and a stone's throw from The Village, Alpine Slide and Ski Slopes! Newly renovated, the cottage showcases a charming 'eat in' kitchen with new stainless steel appliances and slate style tiled countertops. Each of DreamScape's rooms has been newly decorated and freshly painted to enhance the beautiful feeling this cottage inspires.

The ground floor of this cottage has an open plan living and dining room. The beautifully furnished living room hosts a corner fireplace and new flat screen TV for our guests' enjoyment (cable, wireless internet and a dvd player included). The dining room comfortably seats 6 and has a view of the deck and mature trees at the back of the property. The beautiful new kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking gear necessary to whip up a fabulous meal on the new stainless steel stove. Also located on the ground floor is a lovely master bedroom with a queen size bed which is adjacent to a small 'forties vibe' bathroom with new fixtures and a freshly tiled stall shower. Also tucked away in the ground floor is a stacked washer and dryer for your convenience.

At the top of the stairs, the second floor landing includes a cozy nook with a window view of Big Bear Lake. Read a book, gaze at the Lake and enjoy this quiet space. The second floor of the cottage includes two bedrooms and one bathroom. The first bedroom includes a queen size bed and beautiful dressing table. It has a small TV with a DVD player but no cable hook-up. The second bedroom has been decorated to inspire a 'Camp' vibe - perfect for the kids. It has one full bed & a twin complete with flannel comforters and surrounded with Black Bear decor. This Camp-style bedroom has a flat screen TV with cable hook up and DVD player for the kids. The upstairs bathroom has a full shower/tub with sliding doors.

The landscaped exterior of the cottage features a large deck surrounded by beautiful mature trees. The BBQ on the deck is natural gas so you won't run out of propane halfway through your barbeque.

Enjoy the birds flying in & out at the feeders, along with squirrels playing in the trees.

The cottage has 2 parking pads suitable for 3 standard sized vehicles. A nice level piece of property with no stairs to climb to get in! DreamScape is located on Dream Street a charming location for the perfect mountain getaway.

Why Elaina Winters chose Big Bear Lake

What started out as a visit to Big Bear Lake for a family reunion over a 4th of July weekend turned into the fulfillment of a dream - we purchased and renovated DreamScape - and we hope that it provides our guests with a peaceful escape from the city and inspires excellent memories and great times. In the short time that we've owned it - DreamScape has achieved this for us.

What makes this cottage unique

We love this '40s' cottage and worked hard to preserve its beautiful cottage feel. We put the small table in the kitchen for those early morning cups of coffee, a perfect perch for watching the birds & squirrels play and daydreaming. The piece of wood hanging upstairs in the nook has a picture of the cottage painted on it. The previous owner had it hanging above the fireplace. We decided to hang it in a peaceful corner at the second floor landing as a focal point to daydream on. The cottage's location is central to The Village, biking, horseback riding, skiing, hiking and all of the other cool activities Big Bear Lake offers.

We enjoy walking to The Azteca Grill for great Mexican food. The bakery is also a favorite destination spot as well as The Log Cabin Restaurant for breakfast. Be sure to check out the antique stores along the way.

Big Bear Lake is a unique mountain resort community located 100 miles NE of Los Angeles in the San Bernadino National Forest with altitude ranging from 6,750 to 9,000 feet. There are over 300 days of sunshine each year. Summer temps average around 80 degrees during the day & 45 at night. Winter brings about 100' of snowfall with temperatures averaging in the low 40's during the day and mid 20's at night.

The area provides a natural habitat for bald eagles and rare plant species.

The lake is a fresh water lake 7 miles long. Maximum depth is 72' and over 22 miles of shoreline.

This community is full of recreational opportunities such as fishing, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, tours and winter sports. It is the home to the Nation's only alpine solar observatories. Big Bear also features a public zoo (with bears, of course), a nine-hole golf course, 7 public campgrounds, great restaurants, entertainment and lots of shopping.

We had such a wonderful weekend! The cabin is perfect! I am almost hesitant to write this review because I want to keep the place to myself!

It really could not have been better
