Relax and enjoy the quiet tranquility of this South La Quinta home, in close proximity to excellent golf courses and first class dining establishments. Inside of a highly desirable gated community, this home boasts a private pebble tech pool with a beach entry and a salt water system that is easy on the skin and hair, a large tanning shelf, waterfalls, and a Jacuzzi. The lush and spacious east facing back yard features a raised fire pit, covered conversation area, outdoor dining and a barbeque.

The West Indies inspired tropical design continues indoors with an open floor plan ready for entertaining. The large, circular entry opens to a powder room, living room, and to views of the pool and garden. The chef's kitchen features stainless steel appliances, endless granite countertops, and counter stools at the island. The kitchen is open to the dining area and to the great room, which has a gas fireplace, a large flat screen TV, surround sound and views to the garden. The sound system covers all of the public spaces, the patio, the master bedroom and master bathroom, all with independent volume controls.

The master bedroom also has views and access to the pool and garden, and has its very own fireplace. Enjoy a California king pillow top bed, a large bathroom with his and her sinks, Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, and a generous walk in closet. The second bedroom, actually a Casita with it's own entry, has a queen size pillow top bed and a private bathroom. The third bedroom has 2 pillow top twin-XL beds and a private bathroom. The convertible den has a daybed with a trundle, both with twin mattresses. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV.

The community of 200 homes shares a large park and a putting and chipping area, and is literally minutes away from excellent golf courses and many restaurants and shops. The Empire Polo Fields, within easy walking distance, offers Golf Cart Polo, cocktails and a restaurant overlooking the horseback riders, and the infamous Coachella and Stagecoach Music festivals (always in April).

We bought this home because we were looking for a large, inviting backyard that our teenage sons would want to share with us and their friends. The moment we saw the house we fell in love and knew that this was the one.

Beautiful Home and Backyard

We rented this home for a two week getaway from the Minnesota winter. It was our first time there and we found it to be the perfect vacation spot. The home is spacious and the backyard is gorgeous. We have rented quite a few homes from VRBO and HomeAway over the years and this backyard is the best we have seen. You feel like you are at your own private resort. The pictures do not do it justice.

The house is near the Empire Polo Club and we went to a polo match. What a fun experience. You drive you car right next to the field and tailgate while watching the event. We found ourselves at the Tack Room Tavern a number of times. It feels like a neighborhood bar and has good food. We also enjoyed appetizers at Ernie's Grill at PGA West, Lavender Bistro and breakfast at La Quinta Resort & Club. We had reservations at several other nearby restaurants but ended up canceling them as we didn't want to leave the house.

Our main activities were golfing for the guys and hiking. Indian Canyons and Tahquitz Canyon continue to be our favorite hiking spots.

Susan the owner and Carlos the property manager were great. We had no problems during our stay other than I couldn't figure out how to use the surround sound. Carlos was there the next day to explain the system to me.

We would definitely return to this property and recommend it to our friends.

Lovely home ...BUT

This is a lovely spacious home. However, We found the location quite remote . It was at least 15 minutes to a grocery store or restaurant. We were disappointed that the beautiful yard was so unkempt, and had to work quite hard to clean it up before entertaining. Outdoor tables and furniture were filthy and dead leaves absolutely everywhere! The kitchen is gorgeous, but not well equipped for entertaining. No whisk, corningware or Pyrex , no dip bowls, very few serving bowls or platters..... There was however plenty of the basics.

Owner's Response: So sorry that you were disappointed. We chose this home as our vacation getaway specifically because it was NOT close to a shopping center, and yet very close to great golfing spots such as PGA West and Hideaway. As for the yard, the desert recently had below freezing temperatures which lasted for 3-4 nights, and that causes the treetops to burn and then drop their upper leaves. We do have a lot of vegetation in our tropical yard, so, unfortunately, there is mess from those leaves after a freeze, and our gardener only comes once a week. Again, so sorry you were disappointed.

We'll Be Back!

We rented this property twice, in November and again in December-January. It was the perfect rental for us. The house is well designed with the bedrooms away from the main living area, and plenty of space to spread out if you need to. We loved the large kitchen that was open to the family room, the beautiful living room that looks out onto the pool area, the spa-like back yard, the fire pit and lounge area, and the sound system that let's you have music no matter where you are - inside or out. Great owner, great manager. Loved it and will definitely be back!

Fantastic Place

Awesome place. My wife and I have stayed in various homes in the area over the last 15 years. This one is one of our favorites. The backyard is private and pool is the best we have seen. Susan is fantastic to work with. We will be back.

Perfect Rental

My family rented this house for a week in the hot months of September We have two little girls three and four and all I can say if you're looking for perfect rental this is the house. stop wasting your time looking at others. The pool is so comfortable with remote-control lighting water features and has Seating around the edges as well as two areas to insert umbrellas into the water so you enjoy the pool without the direct rays from the sun. Five minutes away from PGA West easy access to everything nice gated community and I definitely will be renting this over and over the next two years. I Must have looked at 20 houses online and was hoping this one wasn't going to let me down and it absolutely didn't. I am one of the most pickiest renters you will meet and would highly recommend this to anybody
