MOOSE & SQUIRREL LODGE SAVE $$$$$$

We rented this cabin for a family weekend. It is nothing like it is advertised! It does NOT have four bedrooms, it has two bedrooms; all the other beds are in an open loft area with no privacy or quiet. The living room seats 7, not 12. The dining room seats 6, not 12. It does NOT have internet. There is no cell phone service (not their fault but just an FYI). The oven is so old it took 3 hours to bake a lasagne that should have taken one hour to bake. The only firewood provided was three giant tree stumps, no kindling, no axe or saw anywhere to be found to cut the stumps into smaller pieces. One of the members of our party even attempted to use his pocket knife to try to make kindling, before we finally gave up on having a fire. The water from the taps has a strong sulphur smell (again, not their fault but an FYI to potential renters). The worst part of all, though, were the bugs. Bad enough that there were piles of dead flies on the window sills, under lamps and beds and down in picture frames. This cabin is infested with spiders and squash bugs. Every member of my party killed at least one live bug. We had an 11 month old with us but were afraid to allow her to crawl on the floor for fear she might find a bug and put it in her mouth. I would never recommend this property to anyone (maybe a group of hunters who really didn't care what their surroundings were like) and am very sad that our family get-together was so badly affected by this awful cabin.
