Perfect Old Florida Style Cottage!

  • 5 of 5
The property was exactly as described in the listing! The photos accurately reflected the house and views. The property was clean and well maintained. Much better than most condos I have stayed in. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family, in fact I already have. I am looking forward to a return trip. The location is very relaxing away from the tourist side of Florida. Thank you for sharing your little piece of Paradise!

Six-Star Rating!

Charming little beach house, well equipped, well maintained, location couldn't be better. It far exceeded my expectations.
Thank you, Hugh, for making it available, and thank you for being dog-friendly - Jake had a great time as well.
My only complaint is that the time went by too quickly!!!

Pearl of the Forgotten Coast

  • 5 of 5
Really hesitant to give review to this gem of a vacation rental as I may lose my chance at re-renting. A great find with all the amenities of a home, not a vacation home. This also means that things will need to be changed and updated from the constant use of this little house.
The house is nicely situated on a gorgeous stretch of sugar soft sand that is quiet but not deserted. Lots of wildlife around and the Milky Way at night.
Bring enough food and drink and you can just say put.

Soooo Relaxing......

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here during the 1st week of November. It was so nice. The house is a little bungalow, perfect for two people. We loved the fact that we could walk right out the back door and be at the beach immediately. We brought all of our own groceries for the week and the house was fully stocked with anything that we needed to cook, grill, etc.

When we weren't at the beach, we spend our time watching TV, scrapbooking (me), and doing watercolor painting (him). It was just what we needed. We did try to walk to the farthest point of the peninsula and that was a BIG mistake. We walked for MILES (one way) and finally determined that it was just way too far and we weren't even sure that it was possible to get to the point. We ended up crossing over to the bay side and walking several miles back home. It proved to be just too long of a hike for us. :)

We did venture out towards Carrabelle to see the lighthouse and eat at Bayside Burgers (yuuummmmy!). We also drove over to Appalachicola and shopped in their historic district. There are some nice art galleries there. The lighthouse on St. George island is beautiful too.

We absolutely loved our stay in Alligator Point and would certainly love to come back soon.
