We are a retired professional couple who have enjoyed cottage life on Bark Lake for over 25 years. We have been actively involved in the preservation and protection of the unique wilderness character of Barkmere through our involvement in many aspects of the communities undertakings.
Carol purchased this cottage in 1999
We bought the property because it had a Wonderful View overlooking a long quiet bay..The wrap-around deck allows one to enjoy this view while sitting in the sun. The fact that the lake has 25kms of wooded shoreline and not too many cottages make each cottage quite private.
This property offers plenty of outdoor activity in all seasons of the year. In summer we sail, swim, kayak, canoe, fish, and in the winter we ice-skate, cross-country ski and downhill ski. We do all these wonderful activities yet are only 30 minutes to the Mount Tremblant resort with it's fine restaurants, and chic shops and spas. Truly the best of all worlds!
Two great weeks. Sorry to be leaving on a glorious sunny day. Its been an enjoyable holiday and will remember just enjoying the location and the amazing wildlife. For children under 90!! Make sure to try out the rafting on the Rouge River and the Accrobranche Adventure at Morin Heights. Lots of good restaurants close by… il Trattoria Tour du Lac, nice Mexican in St. Jovite and plenty more in St. Sauveur.
PS remember to feed the birds and squirrels, if you hear banging in the night, that will be the raccoons.
