We are 25 minutes from major airports, ferry's, trains and Burlington, Vermont's crown jewel and the true live music capital of the Northeast (That's right NYC and Boston - eat your heart out). Burlington and Vermont are a locals paradise so if you're a visitor your in for a treat. Come experience the dozens of restaurants that have been using local ingredients well before it was ever a catch phrase to do so. Head over to Ben and Jerry's and see where the worlds best ice cream started or go check out Nectar's in Burlington where Phish got their start. There's VT Teddy Bear, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Green Mountain Chocolates and many more local, great companies that add vitality and excitement to an already vibrant scene.
If you want more excitement head to Burlington for a great dinner, catch a show at the renowned Flynn Theater, walk the shores of Lake Champlain - check out Echo Museum and Aquarium on the water or just stroll around and check out the sites on the world famous pedestrian walkway that is Church Street. Burlington gives you all the big city you need in a Vermont Village type of way.
Of course if it's Vermont Village you're looking for Waterbury and Richmond are 6-8 miles in opposite directions at the bottom of the Access Road and each has it's own small town charm. Come see what a real local economy looks and functions like; you will find locally owned bars/breweries, restaurants, snack shops, bakeries and bars as well as farmer's markets, schools, churches and a real, honest to goodness community of people who will be glad to see you.
For some more adventure by car you can head to Stowe, Sugarbush, Mad River Glenn with only about a 40 minute drive for amazing skiing and outdoor life.
It doesn't matter what season you come - there is always a festival of some sort happening every weekend so get out and experience the sites and enjoy the ride while you're at it.
If you're a biker, welcome to heaven. If you're a hiker, welcome to the oldest continuous footpath in the US, The Long Trail. Skiers... it's obvious, you've arrived, whether hitting the back-country and enjoying the moose and the 300+ inches of snow annually. Rock Climbers and Boulder-ers - they call Bolton 'The Land of Boulders and Bears' and it's true. You'll find giant boulders everywhere and heavy cliffs to climb winter or summer.
So don't miss this place, you'll never want to leave. We love it because it's truly a Vermont Experience and we want to share that with you.

Sally purchased this chalet in 2006
Why Sally chose Bolton
Growing up in the area I used to drive by this house on my way to ski. I never imagined I would live here and now that I do, I want to share it with others. It's such a magical place. The locals call it the Half-Way House because it's half-way between the top and the bottom. It's a True Vermont Experience
What makes this chalet unique
Everyone who stays says they get the best sleep they've ever had and that the water is like nothing they've ever experienced. It's an outdoor enthusiasts dream, a kids play land and a couples retreat.
