We have 100 feet of amazing, south facing, low bank oceanfront located near the charming little artistic community of Roberts Creek. Just off Lower Road, at the end of a long, tree lined private driveway, you will find this little piece of paradise that’s almost three quarters of an acre and right on the beach! Enjoy 270 feet of large, flat green lawn, gently sloping to the beach-plenty of room for a game of volleyball or soccer. Help yourselves to the plentiful peach, plum, pear & apple trees, along with blackberries, raspberries and grapes! Enjoy the serenity of our own little babbling brook, with stunning, unobstructed views across Georgia Straight to Gabriola & Vancouver Island. Start your mornings with the sunrise and a coffee overlooking the beach and enjoy the amazing sunsets with a glass of wine from the lounge chairs on the patio with nothing but the sounds of the waves and the birds.
The bright and clean home is set back from the beach to afford a private and quiet oasis. Enjoy the original fir floors, the vaulted ceilings, sky lights and open concept kitchen, dining and living room. The bright and spacious kitchen features modest but very clean cabin-chic counter tops & cabinets, full size appliances and plenty of windows looking out to the amazing ocean view. Owner/Property Manager purchased this house in 2012
We absolutely fell in love with this property the moment we arrived. Recently purchased from a local family who had owned the land for generations, we are delighted to call this piece of paradise home.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful beach house with us. The pictures just can't portray how lovely your beach house really is. It perfectly combines clean and spacious luxury with cozy, peaceful "home away from home". As another reviewer said, you walk in the front door and can see right to the ocean through the back door and windows. Our family (including a two and five year old) had a very relaxing and fun filled weekend. Your house was perfect for two high energy children and four adults with it being all on one level, and so close to the beach. The little ones loved running up and down the big hall over and over in their bare feet. The beds were extremely comfortable (we all slept better than we have in a long time), how you have decorated is lovely, and the yard, river and beach were fantastic. It was also wonderful to have a yard for the kids to run around in. There is a back yard, wide side yard, and front yard. The neighbour's dog was also very friendly and spent lots of time with the kids (which they enjoyed). We didn't want to leave which is how I'm sure you feel when you are there. In fact, other than walking to the art festival, we didn't really have any desire to leave the house or the beach. In addition to all the time we spent on the beach, we did a lot of cooking and playing cards once the kids were in bed. We really didn't want to leave and our only complaint is that the beach house is fully booked for the next couple months. We would come back in a heartbeat.
Our two families were looking for a close location that could give us the room for our 3 (under 2) boys. This location was superb. We couldn't have asked for a better location, only a small creek separates this property from the beach. The property was peaceful, quiet and well maintained. The furnishings are tastefully chosen and very appropriate. The wood furnishing are gorgeous. The beds, without any doubt, very comfortable, as are the pillows. This space is all on one floor, so it was perfect for young kids. The number of windows and skylights provided a lot of natural light, it made our sunny days that much better. As we always come prepared with our own "tools" for food prep, we were pleasantly surprised at how well stocked this kitchen was with attention to detail, such as a good knife set and the tea selection was beyond that of most restaurants. We have rented quite a few VRBOs in the past and this is by far the best stocked and equipped VRBO home we have ever rented. Thank you for opening up your home to us. We look forward to returning next year.
This was our 2nd stay at the Beach House! This spot never disappoints! It is the perfect place to get away, relax and unwind. The house is beautiful and has a mesmerizing frontal outlook. We never got tired of watching the seals bob up and down from the kitchen window, or watching tug boats pass by in the distance. The adjacency to Roberts Creek village is great (5-6 walk), and we loved having morning coffee and cinnamon buns in the Gum Boot! Could not recommend this place highly enough! Suzanne the owner is very responsive and helpful. We will be back. Rob
Our second time staying at the Beach House and we loved it even more! We walked on the beach, went for hikes, ate yummy food from the local cafe/restaurants, and relaxed at home. Our kids were very excited to spot bald eagles, deer, and lots of sea life. Thank you Suzanne for making our stay so enjoyable! We look forward to next time!
My family and I had just a wonderful time at this property celebrating my mother's 70th birthday. The location is fantastic - very quiet and peaceful (which is not always easy to find on the Sunshine Coast as a lot of the properties are close to the main hwy) with a wonderful beach and view right at your door step. The house itself is perfect and very well equipped with everything we needed. Last but not least the host is excellent. Couldn't have asked for a better location and property.
Perfect base for a family to explore the stunningly gorgeous Sunshine Coast. It was our first trip to BC and we were in awe. Our kids loved the big yard (for soccer and tag), the beach out back (climbing on driftwood, collecting shells, swimming, searching for shellfish), the creek, the space. We loved the views from the house, the yard, and the shore, which gave us a chance to watch sunsets and whales as well as cruise and commercial ships on the strait; the kitchen, which was well-appointed so we could easily cook; the bathrooms, which were luxurious and sparkling new; and the peaceful setting. We all appreciated being within minutes of fabulous hiking, kayaking, and swimming with almost no crowds in the height of the summer season. The only place that we found busy with people was Ruby Lake, which our kids loved anyway (though we wished the restrictions on recreational boating near the swimming beach were enforced, since the gasoline on the water next to people swimming was nasty). The house is a short walk from Roberts Creek, which has a great cafe and general store we frequented as well as a few other shops. A few highlights: Cliff Gilker Park is a 5 minute drive away and had great trails through forest and waterfalls and creeks (look for the "Basin of Happiness" - a natural pool that was the site of children's splash wars in the clear, chilly water). Egmont was worth the drive for beautiful kayaking on the Inland Sea and a hike to the rapids at Skookumchuk Narrows. Smuggler Cove gave us an up close look at countless starfish, crabs, and other marine life. For natural beauty, we've never been to any place that compares.
Located a mere 600 m stroll from the charming village of Roberts Creek where you can find the amazing Gumboot Cafe & Restaurant, Batchworks Handmade Ice Cream, a general store, health food store, liquor store, library, post office, hair salon, yoga studio & many local artisans and woodworkers. Enjoy art galleries and farmers markets, as well as local festivals and live entertainment in Roberts Creek as well as up and down the coast in the neighbouring towns and villages. Located just 40 minutes by ferry from West Vancouver and a quick 15 minute drive from Gibsons & Sechelt, each offering a number of enticing dining and entertainment options.
Enjoy the ocean right in your own backyard and swim, snorkel and kayak to your heart's content. Enjoy the sand bars at low tide and beach combing among the stones. Views across Georgia Straight all the way to Gabriola and Vancouver Island. Eagles, otters and seals abound, and you may even catch a glimpse of the orca, dolphin or whales known the frequent our waters.
