Our little family (husband, wife and infant) loved this cottage. It was in a quiet area but very convenient to the whole town of Mackinac City.

We could not have been happier with our cottage rental in Mackinaw City. The cottage was beautifully decorated, and centrally located. You can walk to the downtown shopping area or ferry dock in 10 minutes. It was really nice to have the fire pit - we had a fire and roasted marshmallows a few times during our stay. The Weber grill was an added touch...we grilled dinner twice during our stay. Great communication with Diane, the rental manager. Highly recommend!!

College age daughters

My husband and our two college age daughters, 18 & 21 enjoyed the cottage very much. It was exactly as the pictures describe. The location couldn't be better. You can walk or bike to everything but there is also ample parking. Very clean and every one was very friendly. Laundry mat just about 2 blocks away. The IGA grocery is about 2 blocks away and the drive to larger groceries in Cheboygan is only a 15 minute drive on US23 along the beautiful Lake Huron. Make sure you eat at Darrow's Family Restaurant (all homemade) which in only 1 block away. All of the owners 4 cottages are lovely, well restored and maintained and I would recommend them to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location - minutes to everything in town. Cottage was clean and comfortable. We liked having the patio - got takeout and ate out there several times. The fire pit was great - we had a fire two nights while we were there. Would definitely recommend this property.

Quaint little place in a great location!

This property has recently been redone, and we were immediately impressed upon walking in. We had 6 people in the property that is really fit for four, but we had discussed this with the property manager before arriving. She did tell us that 6 would be a squeeze, but we were willing to give it a go. I'm glad we did! Fitting 6 is indeed a squeeze, but we were really only at the house in the late evenings and mornings anyway, so it really wasn't a big deal. We were very pleased with the property and especially the location. We walked downtown one night for dinner and the next day we walked to the ferry. The only reason I give this a "good" rating instead of "excellent" is because we were counting on having a grill like the listing description specified, but never found the grill. I gave the property manager a call the first night we were there but never heard back. Wasn't a big deal at all, really, just something to mention. I definitely recommend this property!

Owner's Response: Thanks Larissa - we enjoyed having you! I regret that I didn't get your message, perhaps you left it on my home phone (versus my cell) and we have been here at our cottage all week. The grill was located between cottages #1 and #2 to be utilized by both. So sorry for the inconvenience but I'm glad you enjoyed your time here.
