The house has two master bedrooms, one other bedroom that has been used as office/bedroom. A final bedroom is either a Gym or bedroom with Daybed with trundle. If used as a gym, it includes a treadmill, bowflex, some free weights, yoga equipment, TV with DVD and satellite cable. The Kitchen living room and dining room were recently remodeled with oak floors, Bamboo cabinets and stainless professional line appliances. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all equipment you could ever want including KitchenAid, Vitamix, Double Oven, Warming Oven, and anything else you might need.
Equidistant between the Claremont Hotel and the Elmwood District this modern home is located in the old historic Claremont Court area. History abounds in this old and well-loved neighborhood, whose entrance is flanked by land-marked lighted pillars from a bygone era, and many of the homes were designed by noted architects, such as Julia Morgan, Walter Ratcliff, and John Hudson Thomas.
From the house, you can walk to BART (about 15 minutes and from there a quick train ride into San Francisco. ) Also within about 5 minutes is the Berkeley Tennis Club, UC Berkeley campus, Strawberry Canyon Recreational Center, Claremont Resort & Spa for health club facilities, more tennis, several swimming pools, and spa. Domingo Avenue (3 blocks away) is a favorite spot with locals for Rick & Ann’s Restaurant, Peet's Coffee & Tea, Wine Thieves wine shop, and a smattering of other stores.

The bright and airy house is situated on a large deep lot (1/3 acre) with towering Coastal Live Oaks, mature fruit trees, level patios in front and rear yard.
There is also a 6 person Hot Tub, recently installed, complete with waterproof sound system and Gazebo.
(The house is not childproofed (open staircases and low windows) so children under 10 not advised.)
We are both mid career professionals. One of us is an emergency physician and the other is an executive assistant having worked for both internet start ups and investment banks.
