The cottage was very well-maintained, the kitchen utensils/pots/pans were well-stocked, and the view was amazing. We had a great time enjoying the outdoor hot tub and watching the neighbors go ice fishing each day. We were able to bring our dog, as well, and she loved the trail right behind the house. We will definitely come back here!
Our entire experience with the Mullet Lake cottage was perfect from booking, getting questions answered, to the quiet location and condition of the cottage. We chose it for its central location to Sleeping Bear Sand Dune park, Mackinac Island, and access to the upper peninsula. Having the lake and access to kayaks was always nice to welcome us home after a busy day. Dorene was right on top of any questions I threw at her before and during our stay. That personal attention made for a perfect experience. We have rented dozens of homes both in the US and internationally and this one ranks right near the top.
Our family stayed at this cottage and it was a wonderful time. The cottage is in a great location in Topinabee just a short walk from the market, beach and playground. We would walk to the market for ice cream and play on the playground then walk back to the cottage to enjoy our own personal beach front and lake front. The cottage was very clean, and had everything that was needed. It's a short road trip to Petosky and Mackinaw Island as well. The hot tub was a very nice perk and I loved watching the sunrise from the dock in the morning! Great place and great vacation!
My family of 5 plus our dog stayed in this cottage over Memorial weekend. The cottage was wonderful and provided a great long weekend getaway. We enjoyed making campfires, eating breakfast outside on the patio/deck, the hot tub was perfect and we enjoyed playing Indian Riveropoly. We were in town so I could run the Mackinaw Bridge so the ride up in the morning was a piece of cake. The family enjoyed seeing local places that were in the "monopoly game". The cottage was nicely decorated and very clean. The amenities included were spot on! Overall it was a fantastic trip and the cottage was simply lovely! I can't wait to go back!!
This newly remodeled cabin is great! It has a nice cozy feel with all of the modern amenities that one might enjoy after romping about outdoors. It's right on the lake! We spent New Year's Eve out at the cabin and it was chilly, but the hot tub was great, and walking along the frozen lake was a lot of fun, especially for our dog. If you're into snowmobiling, there are groomed trails near by. If you're more like us, you might enjoy more lavish entertainment. We took the short trip to Petoskey one night for fine dining and the casino. This place was nice. I would recommend it to anyone traveling with a small party.
Was looking for a few days away from the grind of the city and work. After looking online for somewhere to get away that would allow pets I was lucky enough to stumble onto a listing for a cottage right next door to this one. After emailing Dorene she suggested this one and I am glad she did. Either one would have been good, but the view from the deck of this cottage is priceless. You can sit there for hours just listening to the water and of course the boaters so by. Enjoyed walking the trail in the morning with my four legged child to him coming back and dragging my down to the water so he could swim.
Everything is available to you inside the cottage, since I wanted a break and didn't want to do any cooking we went out and experienced some of the restaurants in the area and I would have to say all of them where good and Pier 33 in Cheboygan was fantastic.
I don't think anyone who rents this cottage would be disappointed. If you have a boat this cottage would be a must rent, next time I am bringing one with me. I know I will be going back. Looking forward to putting my feet in the sand this time.
Thank you Dorene for making it easy to get this booked.
This cottage is located in the middle of just about anything and everything to do. Mackinac City is 1/2 hour away.
Day trips galore! Near Petoskey for excellent shopping,
visit a casino, take a hike and know that you have the whole Mullett Lake awaiting when you get back from your excursion and think how good the hot tub is going to feel after a long hike or bike ride! The possibilities are endless!
