Perfect Location and Great for Families!

  • 5 of 5
Our family stayed at this cottage and it was a wonderful time. The cottage is in a great location in Topinabee just a short walk from the market, beach and playground. We would walk to the market for ice cream and play on the playground then walk back to the cottage to enjoy our own personal beach front and lake front. The cottage was very clean, and had everything that was needed. It's a short road trip to Petosky and Mackinaw Island as well. The hot tub was a very nice perk and I loved watching the sunrise from the dock in the morning! Great place and great vacation!

Beautiful Views... Clean modern cabin!

  • 5 of 5
My family of 5 plus our dog stayed in this cottage over Memorial weekend. The cottage was wonderful and provided a great long weekend getaway. We enjoyed making campfires, eating breakfast outside on the patio/deck, the hot tub was perfect and we enjoyed playing Indian Riveropoly. We were in town so I could run the Mackinaw Bridge so the ride up in the morning was a piece of cake. The family enjoyed seeing local places that were in the "monopoly game". The cottage was nicely decorated and very clean. The amenities included were spot on! Overall it was a fantastic trip and the cottage was simply lovely! I can't wait to go back!!

New Year's Eve on the Lake!

New Year's Eve on the Lake!
  • 5 of 5
This newly remodeled cabin is great! It has a nice cozy feel with all of the modern amenities that one might enjoy after romping about outdoors. It's right on the lake! We spent New Year's Eve out at the cabin and it was chilly, but the hot tub was great, and walking along the frozen lake was a lot of fun, especially for our dog. If you're into snowmobiling, there are groomed trails near by. If you're more like us, you might enjoy more lavish entertainment. We took the short trip to Petoskey one night for fine dining and the casino. This place was nice. I would recommend it to anyone traveling with a small party.

Much Needed Break

  • 5 of 5
Was looking for a few days away from the grind of the city and work. After looking online for somewhere to get away that would allow pets I was lucky enough to stumble onto a listing for a cottage right next door to this one. After emailing Dorene she suggested this one and I am glad she did. Either one would have been good, but the view from the deck of this cottage is priceless. You can sit there for hours just listening to the water and of course the boaters so by. Enjoyed walking the trail in the morning with my four legged child to him coming back and dragging my down to the water so he could swim.

Everything is available to you inside the cottage, since I wanted a break and didn't want to do any cooking we went out and experienced some of the restaurants in the area and I would have to say all of them where good and Pier 33 in Cheboygan was fantastic.

I don't think anyone who rents this cottage would be disappointed. If you have a boat this cottage would be a must rent, next time I am bringing one with me. I know I will be going back. Looking forward to putting my feet in the sand this time.

Thank you Dorene for making it easy to get this booked.

Owner's Response: I am glad these guests enjoyed their stay; can't blame them! This area itself spells out LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! The views are priceless and the most amazing sunrises. With the walking/biking trail (in summer) and snowmobile (in winter) right outside your door running alongside Mullett Lake, there is always somewhere to venture off to and bring your dog; they love it up north too.
Taking reservations now for 2014 but will book up quick, no doubt!

Secluded, quaint, and beautiful Northern Michigan cottage overlooking Mullett Lake

  • 5 of 5
My boyfriend and I stayed at this beautiful two bedroom cottage on Mullett Lake over Christmas week this past year with our two dogs. It was secluded on a private road with spectacular views overlooking Mullett Lake. There is a hot tub on the walkout wooden deck overlooking the water which is a bonus as well. We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage and the tranquility of the Northern Michigan outdoors. It is conveniently located near Cheboygan, Harbor Springs, and Indian River. It is perfect for skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, and just anyone ready for a peaceful and beautiful vacation Up North. There is a nice path for long hikes with the dogs as well which we enjoyed everyday. We greatly enjoyed working with Dorene, the property manager, and her husband. They are extremely warm and welcoming which made our vacation choice even better. They were very informative of the surrounding venues which include Breakers (bar and grill) and Vivio's (nice Italian meal). Lastly, we have stayed at another property in Gaylord managed by Dorene and her husband as well and we have been very pleased with both cottages! We highly recommend staying at this cottage and any others managed by them.

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I rang in the new year at this amazing little cottage this past New Years. We had such and enjoyable time. We loved being able to look out over the lake and enjoy the hot tub after a long day of snowmobiling. The house was so well remodeled and cozy that we wished we could just spend every weekend there. Highly suggest this property to anyone who want to have a great getaway and just relax.

Owner's Response: This couple could not have picked a more perfect cottage and setting for New years. Perfect cottage for a couple looking to do some snowmobiling and having the privilege of being on the trail...and not to mention after being on the trail all day knowing that the hot tub will feel great when you reach the cottage! This cottage is being set up at this minute as I'm responding to this review so keep watching this one....pics are updated weekly....it's going to be super popular as in this area, winter, spring, fall and summer this area has it all and the views are ultimate when it's time to enjoy the cottage....if you even want to leave the cottage!
