Set in one acre adjoining pine woods, olive grove, house dominates medieval hill village and commands spectacular

views of the valleys, hills, distant villages. Accommodation comprises 4 double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, living room with conservatory. Terrace adjoins fully equipped kitchen, piano, books. Garden includes large pool, pool house, patio, shower,writer's studio and pine shaded area. 5minutes walk to village with shops, markets, tennis and fresh water spring and gourmets restaurants. Sailing, windsurfing, beaches, Gorges du Verdon, Michelin starred restaurants, cultural sites within 45 minutes.

Several villages of note are within 20km of Bargemon which is itself a destination for many.The village which has been featured in Conde Nast, The New York Times and other publications, is home to several world celebrities including a famous footballer whose pad is just above our somewhat smaller one.

Bargemon (500m above sea level) has medieval origins and is a good example of a good Provencal village.Every narrow street in the village, every shaded square and fountain is an historical reminder.Close by are other delightful villages like Bargeme, and there is easy access to the lakes of St Cassien, St Croix and France's compact Grand Canyon, the Gorges du Verdon.

In addition to arresting scenery, Bargemon is known for its pure spring water (which can be bottled free).

Coast at st Raphael and St Tropez and other beautiful villages dotting the coast is between 30 or 45 minutes away, depending on time of day and year.

Excellent restaurants including Michelin starred ones nearby.

We spent 2 glorious weeks in this property. The weather was amazing so we interspersed total indolence with sporadic trips into the surrounding countryside. The house is a fascinating place, full of character. It is well presented and kept clean by a local housekeeper.The location in relation to the village is ideal. There are many places of interest in both the immediate area and further afield

A gorgeous spot

What a wonderful property. The house accommodates 6 adults nicely, more if there are children. The kitchen is well equipped and there are many scenic spots to dine, each with its own wonderful view. The sitting room is charming and very comfortable.
The pool is elegant and the plantings around the property add to the charm.
The walk into town is less than 10 minutes, where you will find 2 nice bakeries, a boucherie and several very good restaurants.
A truly exceptional spot . We loved every minute of our stay.

When we found this property on the internet, it looked perfect and we hoped that it would be as lovely as the photos suggested. When we arrived, we found that it exceeded our expectations! We felt very privileged to stay in what was clearly a much-loved family home, and enjoyed the stunning views and delightful accommodation. As a family of 5, we found the house to be very spacious, and the children loved the swimming pool. We had such a lovely holiday that we are planning to return next year.

Amazing

Simply amazing. I can without doubt say staying at Les Olivers made for one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we have been on. A group of friends from New Zealand, we are used to being surrounded by great weather and the beautiful outdoors. Bargemon and its surrounds did not disappoint.

The house was perfect. Located just a short walk from the village centre the house is close enough for the morning stroll for coffee and croissants yet far enough away to be completely private. Each day the large patio provided the perfect place to eat and drink fine wine while gazing over the village, mountains and valleys in the distance. The barbeque was fired up most nights, cooking local produce from the village butcher while we feasted on cheese purchased from the nearby markets. The pool was a highlight and provided a luxury escape from the sun and a place to relax and read. All bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. With nine people in our group, there still remained plenty of room throughout the house to relax.

We would highly recommend making the trips the owners and other guests recommend in the visitor books at the house. Our highlight was the drive to and swim in France's compact Grand Canyon, the Gorges du Verdon.

As with the other reviews, it is worth mentioning the photos and books in almost every room which provided for a wonderful source of discussion and provided for such a homely feel. I cannot wait to find time to return to this wonderful home.
