Tastefully renovated with quality materials, the house is made of wood and stone, with hand-painted ceramics, furniture with antiques. Three double bedrooms with three bathrooms, kitchen with electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, dishes and everything you need, living in the satellite TV and a sofa bed. The beautiful swimming pool 6 x 12 is exclusive for only six guests will enjoy beautiful sunny days from May to October all over. In the garden of 5000 square meters will find beautiful plants fine flowers in all seasons and two large oak trees that give privacy and tranquility. The whole property is fenced. The solarium , over 100 square meters, is furnished with chairs, table and chairs and a barbecue. Centrally located for visits to the cities of Central Italy: Umbria with Foligno, Spoleto, Assisi, Montefalco and its frescoes, the Tuscia Viterbo with the city of the Popes. Casale Eredità is located in the Lucignano Valley, a protected area along the course of the river Tiber. It is 7 km from Orte, near the remains of the ancient river port of Seripola and the lake Vadimone, today dried up, where the Romans defeated the Etruscans in 309 and 283 B.C.

Orte it's a very picturesque small village in provincial central Italy. Ancient inhabitants understood the strategic importance of the tuf rock flanked on one side by che river Tiber, and settled the original nucleus of the village on its top. Famous archeological sites (Tarquinia, Vulci, Ferento) and varieties of urban sceneries of historical, artistic and lolkloristic interest (Viterbo, Tuscania, Civita Castellana, Bomarzo, Caprarola, Orvieto, Todi, Narni, Spoleto, the Marmore Falls) fill the immediate surroundings of the village.The Lake of Bolsena, Vico, Trasimeno, bring relief in the long and sunny summer days.

  • The casale, with its private entrance has an exclusive garden, in order to offer complete privacy. The casale is entirely build in stone, with a wooden roof and beautiful rafters and is equipped with every comforts. The spacious livingroom looks out on a patio that allows you to fully enjoy our garden. With our barbecue facilities it will be charming to eat in open air! The casale has three double rooms, each one with a particular color and special decorations. We have called them: 'Rosa Tea' (tea rose), 'Edera'(Ivy) and 'Glicine'. Idyllic cottage in Orte!

We stayed here for our honeymoon after a very busy wedding week at another location and found this place absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious and yet very cosy and atmospheric. The whole place was spotlessly clean, has all necessary facilities for peaceful and comfortable stay. Our wonderful hostess Giancinta managed the impossible - to be entirely attentive and at the same time unobtrusive. She is very bubbly and clearly enjoys meeting people and making them happy and comfortable - and makes the best tiramisu i have ever had .... and i have had a few, as it is my favourite desert! The villa, whilst giving entirely the feeling of tranquility and country living, is very near to the A1 motorway, so many places are very accessible. we particularly liked Orvieto, Spoleto, and Bolsena lake. many thanks Giacinata for your warm and cheerful hospitality, we will aim to return. Perfect week in Italy

Casale Eredita is a fabulous place and Glacinta is the perfect host. The villa is perfect for families with 3 good size bedrooms with a private bathroom for each. Our bedroom also came with french doors that opened up onto the patio by the pool. Large pool and lots of area to run around in the gardens for the kids. Glacinta has done a great job with the gardens that surround the villa. You are only a few minutes outside the town of Orte which is a great hilltop town to explore. Plus another medieval hilltop village is just above them on the hilltop which is a couple minute drive up the hillside. Orte is a great location to explore the Umbria area as your just off the main toll highway and the railway runs through the town. We did day trips like the hot springs in Viterbo, Marmore Waterfalls in Terni, Assisi, the Baci chocolate factory in Perugia and much more. We took the train into Rome on account it was so cheap and easy.
Glacainta also arrived on Friday morning with a birthday cake for Ed. She saw his date of birth on the passport and did it as a surprise.

A week stay in winter

We stayed for a week in this lovely cottage which was a real home for us. The owner,Giacinta was very friendly and hospitable. We had all we needed . If one wishes to discover the Lazio Region, this is a very good base to start from.
The only disadvantage we experienced was the first time to find the place. From there on, it was very simple.
