Our beautiful little apartment for two has amazing views of the Mont Blanc and Aravis mountain ranges in the French Alps. The large private balcony, with access from both the bedroom and living room, directly faces Mont Blanc itself.
The apartment is superbly equipped for your every need and has its own free private parking space just outside. The modern fitted kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave and coffee-maker. The sitting/dining room has a flat-screen TV with DVD player and the separate bedroom has a comfortable double bed. The shower room is fully tiled and has a large walk-in shower. With free internet access and with bedding, towels etc. included, you have all you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay!
Situated in a small residential hamlet, you can enjoy peace and quiet with easy access to a vast variety of winter and summer sports activities and sightseeing excursions. A car is essential to get around, although some of the walking trails are accessible directly from the apartment.
We moved to this amazing area in France from the UK in 2006 and our only regret is not doing it earlier!
Sue Whitter purchased this apartment in 2008
The apartment is close to our chalet and enjoys the same perfect views of Mont Blanc.
The large, private balcony makes it ideal to sit out in sunny weather and the location is perfect for exploring the many places the area has to offer.
This was the most fantastic holiday in which the most "over-used" word was "AMAZING"!
It's clear from the outset that Sue and Tony want their guests to have the best time possible. Sue met us at the apartment car park, showed us round, and gave us the "low down" on the area. Thanks to her advice we visited Lac Vert up above the apartment, took numerous walks, went to Italy for the day "for a pizza", visited Switzerland for the day and we went in the cable car up the Aiguille Du Midi (next peak to Mont Blanc)! Sue and Tony made it plain that they are very much available for their guests if needed, but kept a low profile when they weren't - which was the perfect balance.
The apartment is in a quiet and affluent residential area up above the Passy valley, so it has great and uninterrupted views. It's perfect for a couple, like us, but is equipped for more! Everything we could have wanted was supplied! Of course, the most stunning feature of Mont Blanc views is...the stunning view! Not only did the ever-changing face of Mont Blanc fill both the French windows to the lounge and the bedroom (we never closed the bedroom curtains at night - whatever time we woke there it was in all it's magnificent glory!) but the view from the balcony over the whole of the Passy valley is just amazing, day and night. We found it so endlessly fascinating that, whenever we were "in", we spent most of our time on the balcony, whatever time of day or night and whatever the weather. And talking of weather, we had brilliant weather, but even the one time when there was mist and rain (for a few hours only) the balcony provides shelter and the sight of mist and cloud swirling round Mont Blanc still kept us out on the balcony - taking photos! This may sound like an over-effusive review, but I could say so much more. We live in a beautiful place but from the moment we got back we missed Passy and have been talking about returning to do all the things we would have fitted in if we'd had more time! So, thank you so much Sue and Tony, we had the most brilliant time and we wouldn't think of looking for a different apartment if -no, WHEN we return.
We found this apartment to be excellent for our ski holiday in France. The apartment was located in a beautiful hill and had panoramic view over the Mont-Blanc mountain range and was located near Passy, a town where it is possible to do all necessary shopping of food and sports equipment etc at good prices. The location was excellent because it was near several outstanding ski resorts by car like the Chamonix Mont-Blanc where we had several fantastic ski days. The apartment was very well equipped with a complete kitchen with all necessary items for making good meals in the evening and the apartment had as well a nice bathroom. It was also very convenient to have a dishwasher and a microwave. We also had internet access and possibility to watch a good DVD after a long day outdoor in the mountain, something that we really appreciated.
We found the owners to be very helpful and they offered us all the service and information we needed, so that our only focus was on relaxing and enjoying our holiday without being unnecessary concerned with practical arrangements. All information needed about surrounding areas to explore as well as practical arrangements about the apartment was described in a well organized booklet, it thus made it timesaving for us to orientate and it enabled us to do quicker and better decision making.
If you like to be independent but in a well organized context away from the typical charter tourist area but still in a short distance to great mountain areas in a beautiful scenery, a French village and you like to explore mountain areas, I could certainly recommend you to stay in the Bel’ Alp apartment.
la propriétaire est trés sympatique et disponible pour ses locataires. Tout est fait pour que nous passions de bonnes vacances.
nous avons apprécié que cette location soit proposée à la nuité
It's a little difficult to rave about a trip that is perfect; staying somewhere where the owners make you feel so welcome, supply you with everything you need and provide an apartment furnished with everything a traveller could need (UK power sockets, iPod dock, WiFi broadband, a luxury kitchen and bathroom, exceptionally comfortable bed and pull out sofabed). Then there are the stunning views reaching from the L'Arve river in the valley, to the peak of Mont Blanc almost 14,000 feet above. It's a great backdrop when enjoying breakfast on the balcony of this luxury apartment or watching the sun set. The Englsh and French speaking owners take pride in making your stay as convenient as possible and have first hand experience of the many ski-slopes and attractions in the area. They also have personal experience of many of the restaurants and facilities locally and in nearby towns such as Sallanches, Megeve, Annecy and Chamonix, all of which are a short drive away. They will even do your shopping for you so the kitchen is fully stocked when you arrive! I've returned to this apartment several times because of the location, the accomodation and the service.
My husband and I came for a week in mid-May, to celebrate our 20th anniversary, in “Mont Blanc Views”.
When we entered the apartment we immediately fell in love with the place. The view is unbelievably beautiful!!! We expected a nice view, and this was one of the reasons to choose this place. We didn’t expect such a strong and powerful view, which is how we felt in the balcony or the apartment itself just opposite the white Mont Blanc, Aiguille du Midi and a wide chain of white crests in both side of them, and the green valley with villages underneath making it perfect picture!!! All the pictures in the web-site are real, but they are two dimensions and do not give the powerful and beautiful 360 degrees picture seen from the balcony and through the big glass doors of both rooms in the apartment.
The apartment itself is tastefully arranged, exactly like the pictures in the web, very neat and clean. The kitchen contains anything you can think of, with beautiful dishes and everything fits together. There is everything you need if you wish to cook, which we did, including a big refrigerator that enabled us to do one big shop for the whole week and not one of those small refrigerators that you sometimes get in rented apartments that contains almost nothing. The stove, dishwasher, electric hobs, and everything else is new and in a good shape. The bathroom is also beautifully designed. The beds were very comfort and the living room is also very nice. The wifi was strong and stable. There are two files in the apartment: one full of brochures and maps of sites in the area and the other with operation explanation of every electronic device in the apartment.
Sue and Tony are great host!!! We felt it from the first email until the end of our stay. They always answered quickly and in English which was a great bonus for us, as we don’t write or speak French at all. Sue volunteered to make few inquiries for us which were very appreciative. She greeted us warmly when we came, explained about everything in the apartment and welcomed us with a cooled bottle of champagne to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
The apartment was our focal point for the daily trips we made to Chamonix and the Aiguille du Midi, Aosta Vally in Italy through the Chamonix Tunnel, Annecy lake, Geneva lake - including Lausanne, Yvoire, Evian, Geneva and more, hike in Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval and short trips in the close area and the beautiful villages around.
This apartment is the perfect place for a ro
Hi Sue & Tony, Many thanks for letting us stay at the apartment. We had a great time with trips to Megeve, Chamonix, Aguille du Midi and on the Mont Blanc Express to Martigny. The apt was a great location for all these, was lovely and clean, had all the facilities we needed, plus amazing views of Mont Blanc. We hope to return and hopefully for a bit longer next time, and would not hesitate to recommend to others.
Kind Regards, Michael & Lavinia
A friend and I have recently returned from a stay at Mont Blanc views and had a brilliant time. The apartment is lovely and homely with extremely comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed, including a dvd player for watching films when we were too tired after a day of skiing to go out! We loved the big balcony with amazing views and lovely warm sunshine - a very nice change from cold drizzly Scotland! Sue and Tony could not have been more helpful - they told us the best places to eat/shop/get ski gear, as well as providing loads of information about the nearby ski resorts. There is a folder full of information in the apartment which is very handy to refer to. Chamonix is about 20 minutes drive away and is a lovely town with brilliant ski resorts and a great apres-ski scene. I would definitely recommend Mont Blanc Views as a great place to stay in winter or summer, as it is a great base for exploring the whole valley, and I would love to go back.
The Bay area of Passy is highly regarded among locals and has been nicknamed 'Petit Nice' for its sunny weather! We ski in the area from mid-November to mid-May with a choice of 2 dozen resorts - all within an hour's drive, which is great if you like trying different places.
According to the season, we have skiing/snowboarding, rambling/hiking/snowshoeing, alpinism/mountaineering, paragliding, horse-riding, mountain-biking, rafting, fishing, golf, tennis, swimming, climbing (indoor/outdoor), sightseeing and more.
There are numerous local attractions, from thermal spas to natural gorges to museums and festivals. Geneva is an hour's drive with its famous fountain and lake. The charming town of Annecy is also an hour away, and Italy is just short drive through the Mont Blanc tunnel. For relaxation, the thermal baths of St-Gervais are just 15 minutes away.
Created in 1922 by the Baroness Maurice de Rothschild and designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the 18-hole Golf du Mont d’Arbois is one of the oldest mountain golf courses in existence. Situated at an average altitude of 1320 metres, enchanting spruce and birch line the course. Despite the altitude, it is a fairly flat course; slopes are smooth and the course is very well-maintained.
Designed by the world famous Robert Trent Jones Sr, the creation of the 18-hole golf course Chamonix goes back to the 1930's. It was proposed by some of the hotel owners (the Savoy, the Alpes, and the Simond) to provide interest for their English guests spending the summer in Chamonix.
Nestled in the majestic setting between the Mont-Blanc and the Aiguilles Rouges mountain ranges, the Golf Club of Chamonix is a real treasure.
Ski: There is a huge choice of ski resorts within an hour's drive - Chamonix, St-Gervais and Megève are within half an hour, with Courmayeur (Italy), Flaine (Grand Massif) and even Avoriaz (Portes du Soleil) within an hour. There is a small local resort at Plaine Joux and numerous other resorts to try out, such as Les Contamines, La Clusaz, Les Carroz to name just a few.
For total freedom and flexibility (let's face it, with the weather being so unpredictable it makes sense!) this is the perfect base to explore different places. From the world's extreme skiing capital in Chamonix to the rolling slopes of Megève there is literally something for everyone!
