The accommodation we had for two weeks over Easter 2012 was one of four apartments in the house in the picture. We had a two bed two bathroom apartment on the ground floor. It was modern, clean and well maintained and good value for the price charged. It is located on a gated community of similar properties most of which were unoccupied whilst we were there. The area is quiet.
You do need a car to access any amenities as they are not really in walking distance. The nearest supermarket (Conad) is about 1.5 kms away. The nearest takeout and ATM is at Campofelice di Roccella about 3 kms away. The location is good for touring with easy access to the autostrada. It is about an hour's driving time from the Palermo airport.
The owner/manager Pietro and his wife were friendly and helpful. The wife speaks good English. A minor problem with a shower was fixed within an hour.
We found the best takeout for pizza and roast chicken was New Pizza Progresso, Via A Cipolla 4 in Campofelice which is just off the square on the road leading down to the viewpoint walkway. The best capuccino and icecream was at Bar Roccella on the square. The bank with the ATM is also on the square
