Overview

Dahlonega Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 8-10 Sleeps

This property personifies the word peace and serenity. The cabin is secluded in a wooded lot with 'surround-sound' made by the rushing Chestatee River. The house is made from 'all-natural' materials with all wood walls, floors, and ceilings down to a river-stone fireplace. It's like having the outdoors inside with you. The house has 3 bedrooms which can sleep 8, a sofa bed which sleeps 2, and a blow-up queen size air mattress that can be used anywhere, including in the screened-in porch. Upstairs is surrounded on three sides by decks. Downstairs has a long deck facing the river. The house overlooks the Chestatee River. Down at the river is a screened in porch with fans, a fire pit, tables and chairs. The river is a great place to read, fish, sleep in the hammock, picnic, cook over the campfire or cook on the charcoal grill as you enjoy the peace of the river. The river area is like being in another world where you and your friends or family members will feel like they are the only people in the world. You will enjoy the house but be enchanted by the river and surrounding area.

The driveway down to the river is steep. If you choose to drive down there, be sure to keep your foot on the gas as you drive up the driveway to avoid getting stuck. f you are concerned if your car will make it back up, please just walk down the driveway.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful Christmas with our family at this beautiful cabin. Breath-taking doesn't do justice in describing this pretty cabin and the surroundings. The view of the river from the decks is magnificent and we loved listening to the sounds of the rushing waters. Everyone wants a return trip. Thanks for making this Christmas such a memorable occasion!

UNG graduate

  • 5 of 5

My son had previous knowledge of this cabin through a friend who had rented the cabin in May,2014 and recommended we rent it for his graduation week in Dec. From the moment we walked in until we left we were very comfortable. It was very clean, had enough kitchen ware, bedroom and bathroom linens, and had many little amenities from the candles to all the beautiful pictures on the walls. Iwe would highly recommend staying at this cabin, in fact I will probably rent it again in the spring.

Peaceful time in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our break from everyday living. The sounds of the river were wonderful. My wife found a favorite rock to sit on and watch the water. Walking to the water several times a day was great. We saw deer everyday on and around the property. Thank you for providing a nice clean cabin with modern conveniences for our stay.

Private paradise on Chestatee River

  • 5 of 5

We all had a wonderful & relaxing time while visiting Dahlonega. The cabin is exactly as shown in the photos, clean & homey. The river below was beautiful & the sounds soothing. We enjoyed walking our dogs on leash in the neighborhood as there was almost no traffic, but everyone lets their dogs run loose, so beware. The town of Dahlonega was quaint, & absolutely everyone was friendly! The shops were unique, & we ate at The Back Porch for lunch which was delicious! We explored the area by car & hiked & saw some gorgeous waterfalls. Back at the cabin we cooked in the well stocked kitchen & enjoyed the great living area. My 79 year old mother & 2 sisters & our 2 dogs made some wonderful memories on our vacation! We all want to return next year!

Breathtaking!

  • 5 of 5

Our first five minutes in the cabin were spent saying "Wow". We also packed a lot of things we thought we'd need but the home was fully stocked with paper goods and kitchen wares. There was even a supply of firewood in the camp area by the river. As others have said, it is wise to do your activities during the day and kick back in the cabin at night. While the road in is paved, we did not want to risk the twists and turns at night. We booked this because it is remote and got just what we wanted. Satellite TV, WiFi, and a propane grill were nice creature comforts deep in the Georgia woods. The pictures in the listing are spot on. Great place in a great setting. We're planning our next trip!
