First we want to mention that John, the owner of JODO, is so helpful, enthusiastic, offers excellent communication and truly wants your stay to be perfect--Thank you, John, as you made sure our trip was in every way. When you arrive on N. Caicos, you are greeting warmly by it's friendly people. Mark met us at JODO on our arrival, arranged our rental car, Lucy (yeah, she's a bit weathered, yet Lucy is the perfect fun 4x4 for this island to explore all the gravel and dirt back roads--we loved her!). Mark gave us a feel for the island and offered any assistance to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. JODO is fully equipped with all the modern touches. It's clean, comfortable, breezy, peaceful and sits on an absolutely glorious isolated huge stretch of beach. We only saw 2 others walk by the beach during our entire stay. This beach was ours. Highlights of the trip were kayaking and snorkeling the reef, paddle boarding, Three Mary's Cays (beautiful, wild and isolated), Whitby Beach, Horstable Beach (including the must see eastern point/inlet for exploring, snorkeling and fishing), exploring Bottle Creek, the Causeway and Middle Caicos including Mudjin Harbor, scuba diving amongst massive vibrant coral heads full of fish life with Dedrick (Big D-highly recommended for snorkel, dive or fishing adventures), boating the north shore with Mark, do it yourself fly fishing on the reef just up from JODO, enjoying all the incredible wildlife both in and out of the water just plain relaxing away on the beautiful, peaceful beach and seeing the stars, sand and turquoise water under the moonlight at night. The stores on the island are well equipped though we suggest (as we did) picking up a few meats/poultry on Provo and having it boxed for the ferry for your trip (most everything else is available on North). We cooked great meals in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the restaurants such as the Barracuda Bar. This incredible and truly relaxing place was hard to leave and we absolutely want to come back at some point. Thank you so much, John (and Mark), for welcoming us to JODO and doing everything to make sure we had a vacation to remember. I also want to thank all the wonderful, friendly and helpful people of N. Caicos. JODO allows you take a step back in time while letting you enjoy it with all the modern conveniences in total comfort. Highly recommended for sure--come see for yourself!! -Kevin & Kelly
