Fantastic experience in Taza house and Carmel Valley

My husband and I recently visited the Carmel valley and stayed in the Taza house. We had a truly great experience and would absolutely love to go back. Here are the details:
The Owners: Eric and Harvey are very kind, yet very professional owners. All of our requests, from the initial inquiry, to questions pre and during our stay, to the return of the security deposit were handled promptly, answered in detail and with great care for our well-being. We have traveled to many places and stayed in many private properties and we have rarely experienced such punctual communication with the owners.
The House: Taza is a new renovated, very beautiful property with modern yet harmonious design. The house is spotlessly clean. It has a fully equipped, fantastic kitchen with a professional gas stove, elegant and comfortable living room and greatly designed bedrooms and bathrooms. The interior is very open, bright and spacious and sliding French doors connect the house with the lovely pool and garden. I would say that the photos on the website portray the interior of the house and the garden very accurately but, clearly, they cannot give justice to the calming peaceful feeling we experienced while staying there.
The Location: Taza itself is built in a very interesting way. While it is conveniently close to the road that connects everything in Carmel, it is positioned in such a way that it is very private and perfectly quiet. When one swims in the pool, the only sound to be heard is the splash of the water, the mountain wind and the birds in the garden… It is a very surreal experience to swim in the warm water surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks.
In terms of activities, Taza is in the Carmel valley, which is great as the ocean fog never gets there. At the same time, the property is close to everything. Within 5 to 20 minute drive one can experience a number of activities, from wine tasting, to hiking, to whale watching (I am not joking, we did see whales and see lions while enjoying the ocean views of Point Lobos). There are numerous great restaurants and gourmet grocery stores in Carmel, including WholeFoods… as well as any other store one can possibly imagine. For hiking, we would highly recommend the Garrapata Park. It is about 20 min drive from the house and the trail is very nice, with varying degrees of difficulty. After your hike, you can cross the road and go for a long walk along the ocean, get down to the small beaches and enjoy the magnificent waves.
