Carole and Kerry Price
We are Kerry and Carole Price and have been hosting out of town guests in Austin for over three years. Plum Cottage is our newest furnished rental home.
We have been married for over 25 years and have raised both of our children within a mile of this home and still live in the neighborhood. Kerry still has a day job in the packaging business and loves wooden boats. Carole manages the vacation rental properties and is a community volunteer with Hospice Austin.
We both found our way to Austin: Kerry from Minnesota and Carole from Glasgow Scotland. We met in South Austin in the mid 80's and have never left.
We bought this property several years ago and kept it as a long term rental property until converting it into a Short Term Furnished Vacation Rental opening in February of 2013. To make this conversion we have remolded starting at the wall studs and added a room to make a virtually new home.
The original home was built around 1950 and still has much of its old classic charm including the cut glass door handles and solid wood interior paneled doors and baseboards.
Location, location, location. This section of Austin is one of the most sought after areas for people coming to Austin to live or play. Conveniently located near to most of Austin's major - and some off beat- attractions. Here you will find real Austinites both young and old.
