Beautiful Berkeley home with large back deck and front balcony, perfect for morning coffee or simply sitting and watching the world go by. Two bedrooms, one queen one twin with built in closets and french doors that open out onto a beautiful back deck. Two appointed parking spaces, one in the garage and the driveway. comfortable living room with small dining area. Wi fi, TV and DVD. Phone. Fully gated and fences back yard.

This modern, tranquil home is located in Berkeley historical Elmwood District on a quiet tree lined street next to a Buddhist monastery and a creek, which runs in the winter. A newly renovated duplex in a friendly neighborhood. It is wonderfully bright, sunny and close to the amenities of College Avenue including a myriad of fine dining, gourmet ice-cream, book shops, clothing shops, yoga, dance studios, cinema, the Julia Morgan play house and much more. A 20 minute Walk to historical Telegraph Avenue, or stroll along College Avenue, from the town of Rockridge at one end, and the California College of Art, to the University of California of Berkeley (CAL) at the other end, where the house is located.

Minutes from Berkeley's university campus and stadium. Strawberry Canyon is a wonderful hike just 5 minutes walks with an outdoor pool and Botanical gardens no more than 10 minutes walk along panoramic way. The historic Claremont Resort is one mile away if pampering yourself is on the agenda.

A great location for road and mountain biking in the Oakland hills, just 8 miles from the property is Chabot space and science center and the stunning lake Chabot regional park, closer to home you can enjoy the many activities of Tilden Park, the Berkeley Rose Garden, or the Aquatic Park. And Activities such as kayaking, shopping, boating, wildlife viewing, rock climbing, basketball, hot air ballooning, Surfing and sailing on Berkeley's Marina and golfing at Tilden Golf Course, Mira Vista Golf Club El Cerrito, 15 mins away or Pebble Beach Golf Club 2 hours away. Further a field Lake Tahoe is a 3.5 hr drive. In the winter a day trip to the slopes is totally doable. There is also equipment rental available in Berkeley.

This is a really nice apartment in a sweet spot next to a creek and a mini urban forest. The apartment was spotless and beautifully appointed, plenty roomy for 2. It is on a steep hillside, which my elderly mother needed to negotiate slowly. Great kitchen & bathroom. Very comfortable beds. I enjoyed relaxing in the living room and soaking in the tree-filled surroundings, as well as people-watching out the front -- no doubt graduation time is busier than most in the area! I walked all over Berkeley from this spot: to campus, to College Ave., to Claremont, etc. Nice owner who helped upon arrival with my inability to open the lock. Renters should know that although 'their' parking is on the left they can more easily enter the apartment from the right.

My wife and I rented Jodey's home to be in Berkeley for our daughter's graduation from UC law school. It is just a few blocks from campus in a nice neighborhood; we enjoyed walking around and to dining. The home was spotless, well furnished and supplied. A very comfortable and pleasant place to stay, we were there 5 days in May, 2013. The backyard patio is especially pleasant, the whole apartment was very nice.

Highly recommend this property. Easy location in Berkeley area; off-street parking for 2 vehicles. New kitchen with ample counter space for cooking. Owner even added extra cookware items, as we planned to prepare Christmas Dinner during our visit. Owner provides excellent details re local shopping, dining, activities, bus/BART/airport access. All facilities worked well, plenty of hot water -- there were 4 of us staying, plus my daughter slept over on the sofa for Christmas eve and Christmas night. Shower & bath are updated, and very nice. Covered deck which was great, as it rained our entire visit, but we were able to sit out on the deck and be dry during light rain and no wind. Listing acurately shows entire property. The only concern to be aware of is that the beds are very low, and anyone with a disability or traveling with elderly parents, who may not be physically fit, may find the bed height difficult for getting up. The beds worked fine for us, but would not have been suitable for my mid-80 year old in-laws who sometimes travel with us. Overall, this is a wonderful property, good price, accommodating owner who answered all questions and was very helpful. I do not hesitate to recommend this property for a stay in the Berkeley area.

I highly recommend this beautiful apartment without hesitation. You are welcomed immediately the key opens the door. It is fully equipped, the attention to detail providing the guest with stress free luxury living is second to none. We ate in Henry's Pub and Freehouse Berkeley - very good. We visited the Arboretum which is glorious and went to the cinema. The photo's and listing descriptions were accurate, everwhere looked immaculate. Booking could not have been easier. Much of our time was spent sitting out on the deck reading, absortbing the tranquillity and privacy. If I could give our stay more than 5 stars I most certainly would.

Lovely comfortable well-appointed welcoming home away from home...

We lost our home to a fire on the 18th of October and were relieved to have this place to live in until we found larger quarters. If we didn't have a 3 year old, we would have been content to stay here. Such peace! Such ease! I would recommend this for anyone. It is very convenient and pleasant and full of light. Furnishings are everything one would need for a brief or prolonged stay. The owner was extremely gracious and helpful in every way. All Berkeley is easily accessible from this location. I would be happy to recommend this to any member of my family or any friend traveling through or planning a stay in Berkeley!
