Uber Chic condo near all major attractions.
We had an awesome ....weekend!! Jay was very nice, the condo was beautiful (definitely a luxury unit) and the view was all one would want in Chicago; water, skyline, grant/ millennium park, navy pier. There are great restaurants and shopping (must visit Anie's Accents; same block as building) within three blocks. Museum campus is four blocks away. It was such a pleasure working with Jay.
The condo is fantastic - ideal location, great amenities, well equiped, and clean. Overall, I'd rate this as a luxury unit - great architectural design, custom decorating, high end furnishings/appliances , on-site pool, terrace, fitness center, game room and 24 hour doorman. Add to this the million dollar view of Grant Park, the Chicago skyline, lake and Navy Pier and it is unquestionably "luxury".
The location is great for vacation or business...short walk to Museum campus, Soldier Field and Grant Park. While downtown is walkable (about 30 minutes to State Street shopping) it's a couple buck Uber ride. For business (McCormick Place tradeshow) it was a great location (about $5 Uber ride). Public transportation is very near, with both a CTA stop and on a busline. There is a small grocery store (pretty high end - great craft beer selection) on the ground floor of building, and a major grocery store a few blocks away.
Apartment is set up for gatherings while offering privacy - so great for couples. Two bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, and there is another half bath. Living area is comfortable, and table seats 6. All stainless appliances and solid surface counters. Ample plates, glassware, and utensils.
The owner (J) was very accomodating and communicated well with us on check-in, etc. The keys were waiting for us with the doorman. Parking was on-site, and was reasonable (by Chicago standards). We would definitely stay here again!
My party of three had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and spacious Michigan Avenue condo. The view of the city is absolutely spectacular! The condo is in a great location on the South Loop and is within walking distance of many Chicago sights including parks, museums, and restaurants. The building provides a day time concierge and 24 hour security and has its own mini grocery. You can also easily walk to get groceries nearby. Jay, the owner, was most gracious and accommodating throughout our stay and went beyond our expectations in helping us around the city. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for comfort and luxury within the heart of the city.
We stayed at this lovely condo for two nights in June 2013. The 3 bedroom unit was perfect for our family--so much nicer than staying at a hotel. The condo is beautiful, very clean and a great view! The photos posted online are very accurate. We walked to Museum Campus and really enjoyed the Shedd Aquarium. I contacted Jay by email and phone before our arrival with numerous questions and he always had a helpful and polite reply. We didn't have any issues with the unit but we did contact Jay when we arrived about parking and he was very helpful. I would recommend this rental to all my friends and family.
Superb building with all the amenities, including an excellent fitness room. We stayed there for work and would do so again. Nice to have a good kitchen, a balcony and fantastic views too. Only downside was one bedroom being smaller. We knew this in advance, but included added irritation of no storage in that room and a broken blind. However, Jay was on it as soon as I called about the blind, and though the fix was a temporary one, it kept out the light! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
