As the property is my private home, I always ask for some background information of the guest(s), like where ar you from, what do you do for a living, who are your travelling with.
I've loved Amsterdam ever since I moved there 30 years ago, and look forward to welcome you and help you make the best of your stay. I have travelled a lot and know what makes a homestay worthwhile. As my children (21 and 19) have left home to study, I now have the opportunity to offer my apartment for rent. I work for an ICT Multinational and study Arts & Culture. I like contemporary art of which you will find a lot in the apartment. And I cannot live without books so you will be surrounded by plenty of those too.
Mrs F Brouwer purchased this apartment in 1989

Once you see the apartment you'll understand why I still love it since we bought it 23 years ago! It has the best of both worlds: whilst in the middle of Amsterdam the place is very tranquil. The loft style apartment has lots of space; ceilings reach 6 meters. You'll find quiet, space and plenty of green in the garden. The popular nine streets area is around the corner. You can walk (or bike) to all the major attractions in the city. And as you step out of the historic front door you'll smile when you see the beautiful Herengracht canal.
The space, the height of the ceilings, the vide with it's overcrossing 'bridge', the huge windows and the quiet garden! On top of that: location, location, location.
Located in the historic center of Amsterdam, on the renown Herengracht Canal, part of the World Heritage Canal Ring. Walk to nearby museums with Rembrandt and Van Gogh, or to the Anne Frank House. Enjoy shopping in the Nine Streets area just around the corner of the apartment. Stroll along the canals and have coffee, lunch or dinner in one of the many restaurants of which you'll found plenty within walking distance.
