A luxurious, 2 bed/2 bath, 2nd floor apartment with swimming pools, gardens, lift, private garage parking, Quite simply the best location with stunning views overlooking the old town of Lagos. A 5 minute stroll brings you to the centre of town with its shops, bars, restaurants and cosmopolitan marina. Within 10 minutes walk of the apartment, you have a choice of several beaches including one of the Algarve's famous beaches, Praia Dona Ana. The apartment has been furnished with style, quality and comfort in mind. The spacious living area features 2 sofas, flat screen TV with Sky TV and DVD/CD. The indoor dining area has a large table providing ample space for 6. The master bedroom has a super king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 full size singles. Both have fitted wardrobes, dressing table/chest of drawers and direct access to the rear terrace. The modern fully fitted kitchen is well equipped and has direct access to the large main terrace with BBQ and comfortable alfresco dining.

Golf: The Algarve is famous for golf and within 30 minutes of this apartment is the world famous Penina golf course. More locally, within a 10 minute drive, you have numerous spectacular courses including Parque da Floresta, Belavista, Palmares and Boavista. Boavista is the closest course being just a few minutes’ drive away and if there are any non-golfers in the party or you fancy a day off, there are excellent leisure facilities where you can spend hours in the gym/indoor pool and pampering yourself in the spa before meeting at the 19th hole in the state-of-the-art clubhouse or perhaps one of the two excellent restaurants. The apartment has a secure underground car park with lift access to the apartment making the logistics involved with golf clubs much easier. There is room to stand clubs in the spacious entrance hall or you can stand them out of the way on the covered terrace.

Eating in or out: Eating out in Lagos is a genuine pleasure as there is something for every taste and pocket. You really are spoilt for choice whether you are looking for traditional Portuguese dishes, Mediterranean cuisine or other familiar menus including Italian, Chinese and Indian. You can choose from more formal restaurants to bistros to pavement cafés where the value for money will certainly impress. If you want to venture out to one of the local supermarkets or the daily fish market on the sea front to choose your own fresh produce, you can take advantage of full alfresco dining on the balcony whilst enjoying a superb view over the town. The apartment has excellent kitchen facilities and an electric grill/BBQ is provided for use on the balcony terrace. Alternatively, there are several places within a few minutes’ walk of the apartment offering traditional grilled chicken and meats, pizzas and other superb takeaway dishes.

Assistance and services: The owners employ the services of a professional property management company. As well as providing a re-assuring and local point of contact for our guests during their stay, the management company can also arrange useful services such as babysitting, shopping, welcome packs, additional maid services etc. Please contact the owners for further details.

Great appartment and great location

You will like this apartment. We are happy to recommend this to you.

We are a retired couple from Canada and we were here for an entire month in January 2015. We loved the town, the area and this apartment. The people were so very friendly and helpful. We would certainly come back to this same apartment. In fact, perhaps, next time we’ll come for a few months.

The management team (Nicki) met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment. If we needed anything she was always very helpful. The apartment itself is grand. The apartment was very clean – it passed my wife’s clean test and I can tell you that is saying something. The building and furnishings are excellent. The floors are tiled throughout. With the electric shutters and bolts on the door we felt our belongings were very well secured when we left them on our daily excursions.

Brilliant Stay, Super Apartment and Facilities

Had a wonderful stay at apartment. Spacious living room, kitchen and even balcony area providing two loungers, and full size table - perfect for breakfast over looking the old town. Location wise, you couldn't get much better. 5 min walk through the old gate, and you're in the best part of town. Alice who greeted us was great, and welcoming, and even waited on our last day whilst we made some sandwiches for our return journey!! (Sorry about that, but I wanted to put the dishes away too! :) Bed was really comfy.. didn't use the twin beds, but the king-size was perfect. Pool area was also great, always clean, and we had it to ourselves on a number of days. Not great for serious swimmer as you can graze your knees.. but heck.. who wants to work out on holiday. Perfect for cooling off and splashing around. I had my reservations about the view from the pics of the skate-park, but to be honest, we loved sitting on the balcony and watching the comings and goings (and some of the falling's over) of the kids who played there - think the UK's kids should be doing more of the same instead of playing on Xbox all day! Also.. DO NOT RELY on street view. It shows a massive crane, and building work.. these are OLD Google images.. from when the site was being built. No such monstrosity when you arrive, I promise. I would have liked a spare set of keys and key fob for the pool, but in all honesty, that's it.. everything else was perfect, start to finish. Many thanks, would recommend highly. oh, one more bit of advice.. don't shut the balcony door behind you or you'll get locked out. We read that on the balcony.. looked at each other and laughed - that could have been a close one! Just make sure kitchen is always open, and then you won't have to shimmy down any drain-pipes!

Faultless apartment

Well appointed luxury apartment in a great location. Wonderful views over old town towards Meia Praia beach. Handy Spar with in house bakery within 2 minutes walk. Nikki the property manager met us off the train and took us to apartment. She recommended a local bar/restaurant, Cafe do Mar which had great views and pretty good cocktails! Would also recommend the pro-putting course which is just in front of the apartments. Would not hesitate to stay here again if back in Lagos.

Very comfy and well equipped.

We have been coming to Lagos for the past seven years, we have always stayed in apartments around the Marina so this year is was a change to stay the other side of town. It took us just a couple of days to get our bearings and we soon felt very at home, in fact we actual prefer it to the Marina side.

The apartment was very well equipped and comfy, the beds were lovely and with the shutters down and air conditioning on it made for sleeping in later than we would normally! Although we were on holiday so it didn't matter too much!

There is a local Spar shop just a couple of minutes walk away and the Intermarche just a ten minute walk.

There are many lovely restaurants in town which is just a few minutes walk from the apartment. We love Linda's Bar on the beach and were surprised at how little time it took us to get there, catching the little ferry crossing over and then walking back over the Marina bridge.

Michaela, the lady who manages the apartment phoned us a couple of weeks or so before our holiday to check flight times etc, she also arranged an airport pick up for us by VIP transfers, who were absolutely superb. Michaela met us at the apartment on our arrival and showed us around and was very helpful.

The pool was lovely and we visited it most days, just going to the beach on a couple of occasions.

There are a couple of nice little cafes nearby where we would enjoy a cup of coffee and Internet access! The little bar 'no stress cafe' was lovely and we enjoyed a few drinks there a couple of nights, I think it may well have been early in the Season as the owner only opened at the weekends.

Our two boys are 16 and 15, but it would be very suitable for younger children too.

All in all - perfect!

Just one little problem, we didn't book for longer, we really didn't want to leave! But ................ we will be back in 2014!

Superb location, very spacious apartment

We had a fantastic 11 nights in the apartment. Having never visited the Algarve before I feel like we made the perfect choice with the accommodation and Lagos itself. We visited many beaches within walking distance. The location being only a short walk into the old town was superb as we were away from any noise. The electric shutters were great as they kept the apartment cool. I loved my early morning run down through the streets and along the Marina. We didn't hire a car as we have such busy lifestyles we wanted to chill. Instead we located the train station plus the bus station. We caught the train to Loule, to visit Aquashow for the day. A fab waterpark/themepark. Really easy to get around without a car.

In summary, a brilliant apartment, brill location, home from home. Thank you

Great apartment in a great location.

The apartment was as described, very well equipped, immaculate and comfortable. The location was ideal. We decided not to hire a car on this occasion and the walk to the various beaches was not a problem. The proximity to town is excellent with all Lagos town has to offer. The main balcony overlooks a modern, upmarket skate park which would be an attraction to families and for those without kids it provides entertainment with your evening drinks, watching the skaters perform their various moves. The Bom Appetit restaurant directly opposite the apartment was recommended to us by the chap from the agency that greeted us and it was the best recommendation of the holiday. The traditional Portuguese food was beautifully cooked with fresh produce in a gallery kitchen, service was friendly and efficient, the restaurant seemed to be frequented mainly by locals and the prices were remarkably cheap. Needless to say we ate there most evenings.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment and would be very happy to stay there again.

We ourselves often use these for convenience and they offer traditional food at excellent value for money too. We especially love taking a coffee at the "Pao Doce" cafe just across the road.
