This apartment is located in one of the nicest, safest, and popular residential areas of Edinburgh (we live just a street away), an ideal location for visitors with the castle and Royal Mile a short walk away and village amenities, restaurants, shops, theatre all on the doorstep. The apartment is surrounded by local amenities (see full description below), and is in an ideal location for taking a short walk to the Castle, Royal Mile, National Museum of Scotland and many other of Edinburghs attractions.
We are a small family business with just 4 lovely Edinburgh properties. They all have great reviews (see our website link below), and we have advertised on VRBO for many years now.
This apartment is less than a 5 minute walk to these amenities-
Grocery shops such as Sainsburys and a Tesco.
Fresh food including Bakers, Butchers and Fishmonger.
Boutique cafes, French cafes, Chocolatiers, Brasseries,
Restaurants and Brasseries,
Fish n Chip shops, curry and chinese take aways (all very good),
Bank (RBS and Halifax), Newsagent.
Lothian Bus stop for the local hop on and off bus service (buses to Royal Mile and Princes Street go past ever few minutes).
10 minutes minutes walk there is-
Cinema, theatre, golf, city centre park with BBQ and picnic areas.
15-20 minutes walk to Princes Street, Castle, Royal Mile area.
This Victorian apartment is new from Dec 2012 to the holiday rental market and as such the pricing is very good for what it offers. Ideal for families or couples it's a very comfy and welcoming apartment located in one of the safest, and most popular areas of Edinburgh. The rooms have been furnished to a high standard, there are comfy couches to relax in, new beds and mattresses, and our first guests have loved it (see reviews, and we now have more reviews to be added shortly.
This is a spacious city centre apartment located in a building built in the late 1800's. Traditional in Victorian style and still with it's original features which includes lovely high ceilings with ornate cornicing, the lounge itself is 20ft x 12ft. Each room also has a bell system which is still connected to the original bells seen in the kitchen, these were used for when owners of these apartments had servants. Character galore!
The accommodation comprises large living room with free wireless internet, DVD player, DVD's, a spacious family dining kitchen with dining table that seats up to 5, 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom. There is both a bathroom and a separate shower room.
We supply towels, linens, and other supplies such as dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent (there is both a washing machine and a tumble dryer), dish sponges etc. All you need to buy in is food! There is also coffee and tea provided and a carton of fresh milk will be waiting in the fridge for you.
Please be aware that this apartment is located on the top (3rd floor) of a 100yr old building. As is common in most older apartments there is no elevator therefore this apartment is not suitable for people that do not like stairs. There are 3 flights, and 2 landings. We do want to add that being the top floor does have benefits, there's no noise from above, and there are lovely views from the rooms located to the back.
Bruntsfield along with neighbouring Morningside and Merchiston is one of the most upmarket and prosperous areas of Edinburgh. As with all citys not all areas in the city centre are recommended to stay in, but this area has a lovely safe feel to it. Sean Connery went to the school just across the street from this apartment, Authors such as Ian Rankin live here and up until a few years ago Harry Potters JK Rowling lived a few streets away. This area has a high street of cafes, boutique shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema, brasseries, bakers, jewellers, gift shops, and there's a Tesco and Sainsburys just minutes walk away.
Located in Edinburgh City Centre. Surrounded by quaint shops, chocolatiers, cafes/bistros, cinema, theatre, banks, bars, grocery stores and much more. Just 15-20 minutes walk to the Royal Mile or take a bus right there.
