This is our home away from home that we'd like to share with other travelers!
It's an authentic log cabin with all the upgrades you need. Road bike on Elk Mountain up to the parkway right out of the driveway!
Solid pine floors and beadboard with lots of windows let you feel like you're tucked a way in your cabin in the mountains with all the excitement of Asheville and the Parkway just minutes away.
Master bedroom is a queen, second bedroom is a full size. Both are brand new mattresses as of 7/14!!!
The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for family meals. Eating options are at the breakfast bar or dining room table in the windowed dining nook.
The living room has a plush leather couch and chairs with plenty of room for hanging out.
The kitchen is equipped with LaCrueset cookware, fridge, oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
We have a few games and toys there for children, a fire pit with chopped wood outside, and a kid size dollhouse and playground in the fenced backyard.
There are 3 outdoor sitting areas with furniture, one being a private deck with an outdoor dining table and six chairs.
Central heat and air, down comforters and quilts made by my grandmother will keep you warm and cozy on cold winter nights while the big windows and creek breeze will keep you cool during the summer!
The best thing about the cabin is it's so close to anything you would want to do in Asheville! Downtown, the River Arts District, breweries, the Grovepark Inn Resort and Spa, Biltmore Estate, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are just minutes away (literally...most are 5-10 minutes!!!

We are an outdoor family and love Asheville!
Linden Lisska purchased this cabin in 2006
Our cabins' location to outdoor and city activities plus a clean adorable cabin make it the place to stay for you and family or friends!
Location and charm!
The cabin was delightful! It was perfect for my quick weekend getaway with my husband, my best friend, her fiancé and their dog. It's very pet friendly with a fenced in area for the dog to play around in.
Linden was very helpful and provided everything we needed to make our stay a success.
The cabin is very close to town and also Biltmore Manor which we visited during our stay.
I would definitely stay here again!
A wonderful little cabin nestled into the trees, cozy and quiet. There is a small spring fed creek running along the property with a fire pit next to it. A great place to relax with an outdoor fire or on the front porch swing. Charm and character with floors that slope a bit and creak with small nooks and comfortable furniture to sit with a book.
Hotels in Asheville can be a bit pricey, so we saved a lot and got so much more space. The beds were nice and comfy, complete with flannel sheets. This is an authentic log cabin with pine floors. Kitchen is well appointed and everything was in good working shape. This location is ideal. It is a quiet neighborhood, with a country feel, yet just a 10-15 min. drive to downtown and 15 min. drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking trails.
My husband and I stayed in this little cabin for two months while we were relocating to the area. We enjoyed it very much. The front porch with the swing and rockers was a favorite place to relax. The fresh air and little stream made it so comfortable, we never turned on the air conditioning because it was perfect just with open windows. The access to both the downtown Asheville area and the Blue Ridge Parkway was nice. The wild turkeys visit to the front yard was a bonus! All in all a great place for our extended stay while house hunting.
The owner was fairly easy to work with, but the house wasn't clean when we got there. She came and cleaned it the next day (we didn't get in until just past our son's bedtime the first day), and it was better but still needs a good, thorough, deep cleaning. The house itself is in a great location, and is a great old cabin with lots of charm. The uneven floors seem to be original and just added to the charm. The beds were not comfortable, and I'm not sure which one was suppose to be the queen, but they were both quite small (not more than doubles). So, given the poor sleeps we had and the less than stellar cleanliness of the place, I would just call it average. We wouldn't go back and would have trouble recommending it to a friend.
very easy people to work with, clean, convenient, and great yard for a dog that stays nearby. has everything you need supplied for your stay. only problem is floors are quite slanted and a new queen mattress is needed due to rolling into center
Our cabin is located close to downtown Asheville, the River Arts District w/ tons of breweries, Biltmore Estate, the Grovepark Inn, and 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway....in other words it is an awesome location for any activity you're interested in seeing or doing while you're in Asheville!
