You enter the Treehouse through a large screened in porch, shaded by trees, with picnic table, comfortable pillowed deck chairs and mood lighting. Outdoor living at it's easiest, and the perfect place for fish tales after dark.
There is a hot and cold water fish cleaning station, gas and charcoal grill, clothesline and outdoor hot and cold shower. A big wheel beach cart is also provided.
The downstairs has an open living, dining and kitchen area with a wall of windows that look out into the woods of oaks and cedar trees, a nature path along the ridge to the left. There is also a full bath, laundry and bedroom with a queen size bed on the ground floor. Love seat, club chairs, dining table, kitchen bar for 2, large flat screen TV and over 400 movies!
The downstairs queen bedroom has 2 large closets, wall mounted flat screen TV, and dressers. Lots of blankets and pillows. And no stairs to get to any of it!

About Edith Camp
I spent my growing up summers in Kitty Hawk, NC and in 1984 moved there, and then down to Hatteras Island in 1994. I originally intended to just stay and work the summer that first year in '84, but one year led to another! I came on south from the upper area mostly because of good friends down here and less development. It's still the only place I want to be.
Edith Camp purchased this cottage in 2000
Why Edith Camp chose Frisco
The Treehouse was originally part of a larger property and it wasn't a house, it was an artist's studio. (The artist lived in the house next door.) When she and her family decided to move inland, years ago, the property was divided and sold. Her studio was bought, the roof cut off and suspended while the upper floor and additions were made to the original structure, turning it into the house that it is today. Nestled amongst the trees, you can enjoy privacy even in a popular beach destination.
What makes this cottage unique
For Hatteras Island, a house that sits well above the flood zone, is surrounded by oak trees, is still moments from the ocean and one of the prettiest beach areas on the island... doesn't get any more unique. When hurricanes come, this is the house that I weather them in!
