Summer rates are $135 per night based on double occupancy. Additional guests are $10 per night due to extra laundry, cleaning and supplies. Winter rates are $100 per night and same rule applies to extra guests.

Bath: Master bath has large shower. 2nd bath has tub and shower surround. High Efficiency washer and dryer are located in a separate laundry room off the kitchen.

The property is on a large lot with lots of off road parking. You can be comfortable and assured of your privacy. Kind of like a little 'home away from home'.

About Marie Dingfelder

We are Alan and Marie Dingfelder. We have been married for 51 years and have 2 grown children and 1 grandson. We both grew up in Corry, PA and moved to North East 38 years ago. We live next door to the property. We are calling our vacation rental a guest house because that's just what it is. We have a pretty small house and when we have company from out of town, it is hard to know where to put them. When we renovated the property, we decided it would be a good idea to no longer rent it full time but to use it for our visiting family and guests. We like the results so much that we may at some point decide to move in there ourselves. We have settled on A & M Guest House for the name of the property. We would be happy to have you as our guests.

Why Marie Dingfelder chose Erie

There are some beautiful properties here in North East. Although our guest house is not on the beach, we think it is in a great location. We are about 3 miles out of North East and only 15 or 20 minutes from Erie. The town of North East has a lot to offer in quaint shops and popular yearly events like the North East Cherry Festival in July, the Wine Fest, Rib Fest, and others. The property is private with off road parking. The drawback is we are located near a railroad crossing. People either love or hate the trains. If you hate them and the noise from them, you may want to avoid our place.

What makes this mobile home unique

Centrally located between North East and Erie, PA. Keep in mind North East is the name of the town, not the location. We are located in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania. This property is completely remodeled inside and out. There is always lots going on in this part of the country. Every season offers something new - summer and winter sports, entertainment, shopping, located in grape country. The property is on a large lot with lots of off road parking. You can be comfortable and assured of your privacy. Kind of like a little 'home away from home'.

Guestbook comments from the owner

It was so good to be 'Home Again'. We miss great friends like you two!! A cozier retreat cannot be found! It's always good to come back to North East - so much change. it was great to see mom & dad - Darla & Chuck again. And as always - so good to spend time with you guys!! We had a wonderful time last night - haven't laughed that much for a long time! You guys mean a lot to us - we miss seeing you.

This home is the second best we know - thank you for sharing it with us. Please take care of yourselves. Hope you can get down to Harrisburg sometime or maybe we could meet halfway at Clearfield and spend some time together. Keep in touch. Love you both.

We were in Erie to visit our daughter who goes to a local college over the Easter Holiday and decided to look for a rental house in place of a hotel so I could cook our traditional Easter feast :) We had the absolute best time this past weekend with our daughter in a house that was clean and had everything we needed! We will never stay in a hotel again when we are visiting our daughter as long as this gem is available! Marie and Allen were so helpful and accomodating. Truly a 5 star experience!! We will be back often!

Owner's Response: Thank you, Lore, for your kind comments both in our guest book and here on VRBO. It was a pleasure to have you and your family staying next door. You left the place in wonderful shape and made it easy for me to get ready for the next guests. We appreciate your understanding when the sky light began to leak. For letting us know and keeping the laminate floor from getting wet, we would like to give you a free night the next time you visit. Let us know when you want to come back. We are so glad you enjoyed your visit!

Awesome place to stay! This was our second time at this location. We enjoyed having the place all to ourself and it was very roomy. The bed in the master suite was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of it. Can't wait to come back again.

FANTASTIC!! <3

This is the 2nd year that my husband & I visited this home, Everything was PERFECT again this year. The weather was not as cooperating as it was the year before. But the wineries were open & the house was cozy. So what else do you need for a stay in wine country! Marie & Alan are absolutely wonderful. They didn't hesitate to do whatever they could to make our stay perfect. We knew we could call them if we had any questions about the area or any concerns...but of course we had no problems at all. The pictures cant possibly give you the full picture of this home. It was super clean & full of fluffy towels & lots of warm & cozy blankets for our 5 day stay. Marie & Alan once again permitted my 2 small dogs to come along, which I cant say enough about what that means to me. I couldn't imagine my trip without them there too. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for simple meals. We personally loved the reclining loveseat, where we watched many movies & just relaxed. There are plenty of windows, which I loved especially since the weather was cold but the sun was shining (most days anyway) so we could at least view the beauty of the area from inside! The trains were very busy this year! But I absolutely love that! We would take our camp chairs & a jacket (of course) out in the large side yard with the dogs & just watch them roll by! We also enjoyed quite a few bottles of wine on the nice wooden rocker on the lovely front porch. We found a great restaurant called the Freeport, with homemade soups & they smoke their own meats, great wine choices from the local area as well as some good craft beers in bottles. There was also an access road right next to the restaurant that leads to a small beach & playground with a beautiful view of the lake. All the wineries are wonderful, but by far the Noble winery has the most AMAZING view of the grape vines as well as the lake & the train tracks run right through the middle of the two. We actually made 2 trips to this winery during our visit. On the 2nd trip, the weather was much clearer & we could actually see parts of Canada on the horizon of the lake. We also brought home 15 gallons of local grape juice from several different wineries so we can make our own wine at home. Last year we only brought back 5 gallons of Niagara juice. But it turned out so well...We went bigger & more varieties! As you can probably tell we a had a wonderful trip & I would highly highly recommend this rental.

North East rental

  • 5 of 5

What a great place! I was hoping for a nice place to stay that allowed my dogs and was bigger than a room at the Red Roof. What we got was a home away from home and was so comfortable that we spent most of our time inside instead of at the Lake! Thank you for having us and allowing our dogs to come with us!

amazing quiet getaway!

I absolutely loved everything about this rental. My husband & I went for 2 nights but I wish we could have stayed longer! And next time we will. It was so clean & comfortable. Spacious kitchen, with everything you need to make some simple meals. Tons of blankets & quilts. The living room was large with lots of windows for natural light. The bathrooms were nice & clean with lots of towels. And even had some travel size amenities if you happen to forget anything. I loved watching & hearing the trains, I think that might have actually been my favorite part. although the train did run through the property, there is a large flat yard in between, so It did'nt even bother us at night. There is a firepit on the property also, but we never did get around to using it. Next time for sure! The property was super close to all the wineries . One was even in walking distance. The home is right across from a Vinyard & Alan said we could help ourselves to some grapes when ever we liked. They were ripe & ready during our stay so that was pretty awesome! We loved sitting on the large front porch on the glider with a glass of local wine. Alan & Marie were wonderful, they were so hospitable & were willing to do whatever they could to make our stay better. Alan helped us find a cute little roadside stand to get some fresh eggs & veggies for breakfast. They even let us bring along our 2 small dogs, which made our stay so nice. We took them on the wine trail with us & to see Lake Erie! My husband & I have been going to Erie for years now but have never had a better time than when we stayed here in North East! It was a fabulous get away from the normal hotels we used to stay at. You can really appreciate the extreme beauty that surrounds you at this home. I will never stay in a hotel again! As long as Alan & Marie will have us...We will be back next year & the year after that & the year after that! I would highly recommend this rental. Thank you Alan & Marie!
