TRUE OCEANFRONT/BEACHFRONT LUXURY CONDOMINIUM

Great spot!! This place had a winning combo for us:
1) Quieter east side of St.Thomas, easy access from the airport;
2) Close to Red Hook, where you can catch the inter-island ferries;
3) Quiet and safe;
4) Private beach and swimming pool. (The photos are true!)
We were a group of 4 30-40's adults, and we wanted a tranquil getaway that also had access to activities when desired. If that's what you're looking for, go here! If you have kids who need activities 24-7, this may not be the right fit.

We rented a car from the airport, and we were glad that we did. If you are comfortable navigating island-mountain roads and driving on the left side of the street, you should do this. While we rotated in and out of lazy days and active days, here are some of the things we did that you might enjoy:

1) Snorkeling at the condo's lovely private beach by the Yacht Club was not that eventful. Much better to go a short drive up the east shore to Coki Beach (by Coral World). Great snorkeling - just stick together and keep an eye on your belongings at all times and you'll have a great time.

2) There are some fun restaurants in nearby Red Hook to enjoy. We also cooked at the condo - the Food Center is the best grocery store closeby. Spendy, but that's just the way it is on the islands.

3) We took the car barge (departing from Red Hook ferry dock) to Cruz Bay, St. John for a day trip. You can see St. John from the condo! We drove up the "North Shore" where there are excellent beaches and wonderful snorkeling. I recommend Trunk Bay and Waterlemon Bay. Bring your swimsuits and lots of towels! We drove all the way to the laid back town of Coral Bay on the east side for lunch. Back in Cruz Bay, we stopped for some high brow shopping at Mongoose Junction before taking the ferry back to St. John. Watch your ferry times!

4) We took the people ferry from Red Hook to Tortola (British Virgin Islands) for a day trip. You must have a passport! The US dollar is still their currency. Some of us did the Dolphin Discovery experience outside of Roadtown - great staff and facilty, and the animals were well-kept. We visited the Botanical Gardens (only enjoyable if you are in to that sort of thing), and we found the shopping in Roadtown to be the best for authentic island wares. Again, be aware of ferry times!

5) We did visit Charlotte Amalie on St. John once for a little sight-seeing.

All in all, a GREAT time, and the owner was great. Highly recommended!
