I am from Michigan, my wife is Colombian, and we live in Seattle. With her Colombian family in Bogota we created our coffee farm and beautiful country house less than 2 hours from Bogota. We travel often to Bogota, Cali, and Santa Marta (where we have a boutique hotel - Casa Verde - in the historic district).
We thought this was a beautiful area, and we had also had a small farm near San Francisco (on the road to La Vega).
Great place to relax with family or just get away from the city. The climate is perfect - average about 80F days and 70F at night. There are lots of different bird species living there so this is a great spot for bird watching. You can see bird photos and other photos of the farm and house.
