My wife and I both grew up in the Pittsburgh area and live 10 minutes outside of the city. I am an executive with High mark Blue Cross Blue Shield Health System and my wife stays at home with our two children. We are both close to completing our Masters Degrees and look forward to relaxing in the mountains on the weekends!
Scott Courtney purchased this townhome in 2008
We have recently completed numerous updates to this property. First, we added oak flooring to the living/dinning room area. Spanish tile completes the lower level of the townhome, including both bathrooms. New carpeting was recently laid in the upper bedrooms and the entire interior and exterior of the home have just been painted. New kitchen appliances have been added and new flat screen televisions in every room of the house.
This unit has underwent major upgrades and is ready for you to visit and enjoy!

Views of the ski slopes and listening to the clock tower chimes made my wife and I fall in love with this unit.
We had a wonderful stay at this condominium. It was very spacious with 3 levels, 2 baths and comfortable sleeping for 6-8. We loved the mountain views from every window and there were 2 great flat screen TV's in two separate living areas as well as nice flat tv screens in each bedroom.
I really appreciated having free WiFi for my computer.
The home had a comfortable fireplace and beautiful wood floors on the main level. The kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary cookware, so we were able to cook dinner a few nights during our stay.
The location of the condo was very convenient. It was just a mile from the main lodge and ski lifts where we enjoyed a couple of nice days of skiing. The best feature of this stay was the owner. He was very friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions and checked in on us when we arrived and when we departed. My husband and I had a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back soon!
My wife and I stayed here for about 6 months threw the winter months. It was a very nice place with a lot of things to do near by. The house was very clean and very cabin like. With a wood burning fire place goin every night it was awsome. Very cozy home. Not too far from a big town and still has the secluded atmosphere of being in the hidden valley. I would recommend this place to everyone. Great homeowners. Very nice people. You could even walk down to the ski resort. I will def be goin back there next time we are in pa.
My family and I had a great time staying at this townhouse in July. Tons of family activities in the area kept everyone entertained. The townhouse has a fully equipped kitchen which is a big plus when you have children. Flat screen TV’s on all three floors, so no fighting on what to watch in the evenings. Plenty of space for everyone to stretch out, much better than a hotel room. The WiFi is a big plus. Made researching the area that much easier. Some of the places we visited and enjoyed during our weekend stay were; Living Treasures Animal Park, 10 min drive (West on Rt 31) - Laurel Hill State Park, has a lake w/beach, 15 min drive (East on Rt 31, then South on Trent Rd) - Glades Pike Winery, great Apple Spice wine, 10 min drive (East on Rt 31) - Moo Echo Dairy, fantastic homemade ice cream, 15 min drive (East on Rt 31). With so many things to do we didn't have a chance to try out the any of the 3 pools or the Lake George Activities Center which all are within a mile or two. Overall we really enjoyed staying and look forward coming back again this fall and in the winter.
This was an annual winter vacation for our family of 3. The condo was immaculate furnished with everything you could need. We particularly loved the wood burning fire place in the corner of the family / living space (so cozy). The place was actually a lot bigger that we anticipated, therefore plan on bring my teenage daughters as well as her friends next time!
It was extremely convenient to the mountain which had activities for all ages. In addition, there was a nice lodge with cozy couches to take my 3 year old son to relax.
We were actually able to get a taste of the night life there too! Great people and music.
We will definitely be back!
I did a short term monthly lease in this townhome. I did not have a favorable experience. For the most part, if you are not going there to ski, there is not a lot to do. Be advised the townhome does not have air conditioning. The mattresses are uncomfortable – we resorted to sleeping on the floor. The water pressure was horrible. The fix when calling the landlord, remove the filter! The worst part, there is a $190 grounds/maintenance fee per month which we were never aware of. When viewing the home, the estimates the landlord gave for utilities were not even close (again, never mentioned a “maintenance fee”). Bottom line, would not recommend.
We rented out the Courtney's Mountain Vista for 3 nights over the New Years Eve weekend. From the minute we walked it we were impressed and thrilled with the accommodations. When we first saw the posting, we instantly called Scott and he made the reservation process as easy as possible and was very accommodating. The photos he provided gave us a sneak preview into the place, but what we found when we arrived was even better than the photos. We were only a short walk from the slopes and could ski out after that short walk. Scott just recently installed new flat screen tvs in the living room and bedroom, which were a nice surprise. He had a well stocked kitchen that enabled us to cook every night and not have to order out. Overall, this was an excellent find through craigslist and plan to schedule another trip inthe upcoming months.
