This one bdrm/bath unit is part of a new completed modern 4 1/2 level home. It has all the amenities of a small home, featuring a separate entry, a full kitchen, shower/bath, washer/dryer Combo, cable TV & high speed internet.

It is centrally and conveniently located close to many wonderful attractions offered in the San Francisco Bay Area. Pt Richmond has easy access via I-580 and I-80 to San Francisco, (20 minutes) Berkeley & East Bay (10) min. and to communities across the San Rafael Bridge (north on 101) to the wine country in Sonoma and Napa (40 minutes).

A versatile location: Ferry terminal & Bart less than 10 minutes, Oakland airport 25 min., SFO 35min.

Point Richmond is home to Keller Beach, one of the several publicly accessible beaches. There are several marinas in the area. The Brickyard Cove, Richmond Yacht Club, and the Marina Bay Yacht Harbor. Marina Bay has a variety of guest services, sailboats/motorboats/kayaks are easily launched into the protected harbor and guided trips to nearby islands are possible via East Bay Regional Park system.

About Denny

Denny met his wife, Kris in 1995. Denis & Kristina Kasten found this property in 2010. The foundation and framing were already completed .

Denny received a degree in architecture from Lawrence Institute of Technology in Southfield, Michigan. After relocating to Marin County, Denny began what is now Kasten Builders. Denny has built numerous homes throughout Sausalito, Tiburon, Stinson Beach and the rest of the San Francisco Bay Area. Denny and his company, Kasten Builders built & completed our new home. Kris, a native Californian, grew up in the Napa Valley.

We found this amazing property, which gave us the opportunity to finish building it. It is in a quiet and exclusive area with spectacular 180 degree views and is centrally located and minutes from the freeway.

Million Dollar View

Our stay was wonderful. Having never been to CA before, we fell in love with the Bay area. We were there for our son's track meet at Berkeley and became tourists for the rest of our stay. We picked this property due to the photos, it's location and being able to see the bay/water. The property photos are exactly what you will see for both the bay and the interior of the home itself. The bay views were awesome! The home was right out of a magazine. The owners did a great job with decor, plus it was quiet, clean and well kept. We slept like babies in the very comfortable bed and woke up each morning to views of the bay. It was beautiful. The amenities such as the hairdryer and the washer/dryer combo were a relief for our packing plans. The owner's helpful tips and recommendations were great for sightseeing, ease of driving in the area & peace of mind. Point Richmond is a nice, quiet & quaint little town. Very nice area. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to those looking for a relaxing, and/or secluded/quiet get away; or it's a quick ferry ride across the bay for those who want the hustle & bustle of San Francisco; or taking the bridges to the wine country of the north, or Muir Woods and Marin Co. off to the west. We are very thankful to have found this place and know that we are now spoiled for any other vacation stay. Thank you Denny & Kris for opening up your home (the lower level) to VRBO, we truly enjoyed our stay.

OMG...Beyond our expectations!

All the pictures posted from Denny & Kris are EXACTLY what the place looks like and in fact they do not do justice to how nice the unit is...The views are absolutley amazing...Denny & Kris are wonderful hosts... and the area is perfect!..It is something to wake up and literally see San Fransico from bed but not hear it, have to park in it, or have the hustle and bustle...The area has a small quaint downtown where we found some very nice spots and the ability to get your necessities...which they left a very helpful welcome to the area book with the immediate and surrounding area spots.
We had a very unexpected tasty breakfast at little Louie's cafe... and enjoyed some mussels that evening at Big Mac that were prepared perfectly. We were able to drive into the city within 30 minutes. There is a great grocery store with fresh seafood, produce and more in nearby Berkley that Denny & Kris suggested to try...Perfect! . We are in the culinary field and travel a lot for work and most times are in need of a kitchen...This kitchen and space was more accomidating than ANY extended stay hotel. It was great to have the kitchen for our personal needs as well. We wish every time we traveled we could stay in a place like this. We were pleasantly surprised with every aspect of this rental property and can not say enough about it or the hosts...We will definatley stay here again on our next vist to San Fransico and would not hesitate to recommend this for someone else to stay...It, by far, was the best stay we have had in the San Fran area and it was with out a doubt because of the location, view, deck, parking, and our most accomidating hosts.We hesitate to give such a glowing review for our own selfish reasons, that we truely want this property to be available WHEN WE COME TO TOWN!!!! hahaha! ....Evan & Tammy..Rock Springs, WI

A Great Find in the San Franciso Bay Area

My husband and I love this location and this home in particular. The vacation unit has an unparalled view of San Francisco, Angel Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge. It is close to everything - Sonoma for wine tasting, the ferry in San Rafael to go to Giant's games. a short drive to San Francisco, Sausalito and surrounding areas. Point Richmond is a unique hidden gem - with great restaurants, walking trails and many artistic events (Music Festival, Theater, Farmer Market). Hosts were very nice and accomodating. Five Stars!!!

Perfect Getaway!

I booked this beautiful home for my 92 year old mother and my 62 year old sister for a get away. The home, the decor, the setting was just as described, but the experience was beyond their expectations. in fact, it was so wonderful, I had to take some time to drive there and see/experience it for myself... as did my brother! The photos on vrbo were true to life. Everything immaculate and so tastefully decorated. The extra treat was meeting Denny and Kris, the owners of the home. They were accessible and hospitable and willing to please.

The view was stunning of course, peaceful, surreal at night. and our favorite part was the huge deck and openness of the home.

truly a retreat, getaway, romantic weekend, etc.... all worth the affordable price! We definitely will keep this rental on our list of vacation spots, and in our fond vacation memories too!
