Our house, lovingly dubbed 'Wishbone', is a 1948 home that we have restored and furnished with an unflinching eye to detail and comfort. It has a full bath on the main floor with a deep soaking tub/shower combo and two comfy bedrooms, one with a queen and the other with a full bed. Top-notch linens, mattresses and amenities. Ample built-in custom closets for your clothing and necessities.
The kitchen rocks it with a bright, airy eating nook with a huge window and windowed door leading to the patio. Fully stocked with excellent cookware and tableware. We are cooks and food lovers and know how to outfit a kitchen! Vintage stove works like a charm.
Gleaming hardwood floors throughout, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. Wood-burning fireplace, dining area, amazing private patio with view out over the treetops.
Down the stairs on the lower level is another large room with double bed and fireplace which serves as an additional bedroom. It is on the rustic side with exposed rafters and beams. There is also a half bath and a washer and dryer there for your use.
Our passion is restoring wonderful historic South Hill homes, and in turn, offering people great places and communities in which they can thrive. We have been restoring and managing top notch living spaces in choice neighborhoods for more than a decade.
We live on the South Hill in a nearby neighborhood, so are readily available for our guests should you have any needs or concerns at any time.
Tim is a master carpenter and contractor and general all-around good guy who can fix just about anything. Rebecca is the mistress of Rookery Enterprises, and will help with any needs, wants and questions related to the community, resources and creature comforts.
We have four sons, all of whom have launched, three dogs, a parrot and chickens who will provide you with fresh eggs if they are in a laying mood when you are visiting.
This home is ideally suited for guests because it has a great feel and it's in a great neighborhood! The home is on a cul-de-sac perched on a sort of bluff, so the big bank of windows provides a cool view of the Spokane Valley. There's a spacious private deck right outside the living room and kitchen which brings the outdoor feel of the big pines and sky right into the living space.
This home, we call 'Wishbone', is the perfect size, all on one level, with this wonderful open floor plan yet cozy at the same time. We restored and furnished it to our personal standards of quality and taste. We love this home and this neighborhood!
You are a short walk to the vibrant South Perry District - there is a cool foot path from where 14th dead-ends, right down to South Perry!
Honestly, our town and its environs have so much to offer, and so many amenities, it's tough to list them all!
Spokane is smack dab in the middle of some of the best outdoor recreation opportunities in the Pacific northwest. It is also a regional medical and convention center, drawing visitors from all over the world.
We are outdoor enthusiasts, and are happy to direct our guests to great hiking, biking, skiing (all kinds), and water sweet spots within easy striking distance from 'Wishbone'.
We are also food lovers, so can point you to what we believe are the finest markets and eating spots in town. The South Perry District has great restaurants, taverns, a renown Farmer's Market and a cool bike shop, among many of its charms.
