Photos and Description of the Rethymno vacation villa rental

The house was built more than 150 years ago, and the first restoration was in 1879. Charalambos Liandris, one of the legendary heroes in the fight for freedom of the monastery of Arkadi., was born in this house. In 1999 the stone house was restored again and since this time until the end of 2006 it was used as permanent residence of Chara Liandri and her family. The property is divided into two buildings: The main house and the guest house. Both are connected through a small bridge. There is a total of four bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are spectacular views to the sea. The property is located at the edge of the village Atsipopoulo, a few minutes from Rethymno. The centre of the village is in walking distance. Furniture and equipment of the house are of high quality. It should be pointed out that this property is especially suitable for renting to 2 closed families because of the subdivision into the main house and the guest house (enough privacy for every party).

The property is located at the edge of the village Atsipopoulo, only a few minutes from the city of Rethymno. The centre of the village is in walking distance. There are taverns with local food, supermarkets, a bakery, an Internet café and a pharmacy. In this village you can still feel the Cretan atmosphere. You understand that you are on Crete. If you want to feel tourism you just take your car and in a few minutes you will be in Rethymno.

Fazit vorweg: Wir haben schon wieder gebucht!

Das Haus entspricht voll der Beschreibung und liegt im noch sehr griechischen, ursprünglichen Teil Atsipopoulos. Supermarkt und Bäcker, Kirchen und Tavernen (wobei wir das Theoreio direkt an der Kreuzung Heldenplatz, gegenüber dem Kriegerdenkmal, besonders empfehlen können) sind zu Fuß erreichbar.
Zwei Terrassen, eine davon mit Meerblick, laden zum Relaxen, Sonnen und Verweilen ein.
Das Meer mit naturbelassenem, nicht zu überlaufenen Strand ist mit dem Auto in ca. 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Nicht nur deshalb ist ein Auto sehr zu empfehlen, da ja Kreta viele wunderschöne Ausflugsmöglichkeiten bietet.
Owner's Response: Wir möchten kurz erwähnen, dass das Mittelmeer mit dem Auto in weniger als 5 Minuten zu erreichen ist. Zu den kilometerlangen Sandstränden (u.a. im Stadtgebiet Rethymnon) benötigt man maximal 10 Minuten. Unsere Gäste beziehen sich in ihrem Kommentar auf einen sehr einsamen Strand, den sie in ihre Herzen geschlossen haben und zu dem man in der Tat knapp 20 Minuten braucht.
