We offer a sophisticated newly renovated apartment with classic design and contemporary art. The apartment is on the top - 7th Floor (8th Floor US) of an elevator building with a concierge. The building is in Art Deco Style from the 1930's. The apartment is at the back of the building and is completely quiet with gorgeous views of Paris rooftops, the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. Best of all, there is no street noise. The kitchen has a stove, microwave/oven, dishwasher a refrigerator/freezer and a washing machine and dryer. There is a Bang & Olufsen sound system and an HDTV receiver and cable and high speed wireless internet. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. One corner of the double living room transforms into a sleeping alcove with a queen size sofa bed.
The art collection is mainly photography, with some drawings, gouaches and paintings. The artists are from North and South America, Europe and Asia. The furniture is primarily Italian (Vico Magistretti) with a few classic French armchairs (Louis XV).
The apartment is located in the 2nd arrondissement on rue Poissonnière, with numerous shops, markets, cafes and restaurants and the Grand Rex Cinema nearby. There is easy access to transportation - buses and Metro (Bonne Nouvelle-Lines 8 & 9 and Sentier -Line 3). There is a taxi stand at the corner). The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the wonderful pedestrian street rue Montorgeuil with fresh produce markets, fishmongers, butchers, bakers and flower shops and a 10 minute walk from Les Halles Shopping Center which includes cinemas, book stores and shops of every kind, as well as the RER and additional Metro lines.

For those who prefer a Paris apartment experience to a hotel, this was one of our best trips. Convenient to the Metro and RER , neighborhood markets and restaurants close by , this is as close to being a Parisian as one can be for a week. In addition, with interesting artwork, the place has character. The owner lives here, part time, which helps to maintain the completeness of the facility - comfortable European Queen sized bed, plenty of linens, fully equipped kitchen, WI FI, washer dryer, dishwasher etc. The living spaces were quite roomy.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well provisioned. The owners are easy to work with and accommodating.
Within hours of our arrival, this lovely apartment seemed like home. We stayed for two weeks and everything was more than promised. The owners were exceptionally helpful in making our stay comfortable.. There are supermarkets, patisseries and any store one could wish for. If opportunity permits, we certainly would revisit this elegant and very romantic apartment.
We are a retired American/French couple, deeply involved in the arts, multilingual and multicultural. We divide our time between France and the United States. Cities are a passion for us and a constant source of discovery.
Robert Fitzpatrick purchased this apartment in 2012
Over the years we have lived in five different neighborhoods in Paris, and this is our favorite. We did ca total renovation in 2012. We bought this property because it is on the top floor of the building, with lots of light, gorgeous views, private and totally quiet. We also liked the fact that there are 5 different neighborhoods within easy walking distance, and a fantastic array of restaurants, cafes (even Starbucks), concert halls, museums and theaters nearby. As movie buffs we also liked that the Rex Cinema is a complete multiplex including the largest cinema (2800 places) in Europe.
great landlords, great neighbors
We loved our stay here! The descriptions and photos were accurate, the 8th floor location and views were as advertised, it was large enough to work great for 3 adults and one child (one mom and kid sharing the sofa bed). Close to a metro stop, close to the pedestrian rue Montorguiel for easy shopping and dining. Washer and dryer a big plus, and all amenities provided with useful instructions. Within walking distance of Pont Neuf and the Seine. We hope to return some other time and highly recommend this one.
This was my second time staying at this tasteful and beautiful apartment. Interior is spacious and an artistic blend of artwork. I love the 2nd Arrondissement because you are with Parisians who are more than helpful, friendly and kind. Neighborhood is perfectly located and allows total independence. I've met several of the tenants and we renewed friendships. I totally discovered the 2nd Arrondissement and all of its wonderful things to do. Owner's always a delight and always so helpful. From this apartment you can walk to most tourist locations and the Metro is easy to travel on. I would recommend this apartment with no hesitation. Beautiful views, bright and airy. Well equipped and could not ask for anything more.
Bob and Sylvie are the absolute best.
My wife and I spent 8 days in Paris for my 65th at this lovely place in the 2nd arrondissement which is within walking distance of many of the most popular spots. We really never used the Metro as it was so much fun to walk around seeing so much while you were on your way to your destination. Apt is fully equipped with excellent directions for the use of all items. It was very quiet and sleep was not a problem I will call for a reservation the next time we go to Paris. Thanks Bob and Sylvie.
Upon arrival to apartment from airport you first note beauty of art deco building. Elevators are classical and romantic. Apartment itself is large, gorgeous, and well-appointed with a wonderul kitchen and a very comfy sofa bed. Other than some basic groceries nothing else was needed. The toilet area is separate from shower/tub making it convenient for 2 or more to get ready at same time. Location very convenient to everything. Metro a hop, skip and a jump away. After longs days of sightseeing the quietness and comforts were more than appreciated. View at night is spectacular thanks to the many windows, watching the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night is beautiful. The owner's art collection is amazing. Owner's are the absolute best, full of personality and always helpful. This was a girl's week and it was everything and more. Anyone in love with Paris and searching for a place to stay to be among Parisians this apartment is a must stay. For a first time visitor you will be wowed!
This is a bright, clean, well equipped and quiet apartment, with an unobstructed view over rooftops to the distant Eiffel Tower. It was was cosy and warm in a cold February week and the sun streams into the windows in the afternoons. It is in such a convenient location that we barely needed to use the Metro, preferring to walk everywhere - the Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D'Orsay, Centre Pompidou are all in easy walking distance. The nearest Metro station is just around the corner. Nearby Rue Montorgueil is a pedestrian market street with all the delicious food you could possibly need.
The owners were very accommodating and honest and promptly returned our deposit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this airy top-floor apartment during our magical Christmas week in Paris. The spacious layout provided the right blend of privacy and companionship for our party of four—my husband and I and our daughter and son-in-law. The apartment features contemporary furnishings and a stunning collection of art and photography, as well as impressive views of Parisian cityscapes. The location was fantastic, close to several Metro lines, grocery stores, a street crêpe vendor (a particular favorite of my husband and son-in-law!), and the shops and restaurants of Montorgueil. The owners were especially helpful, offering dining suggestions and patiently answering our questions about Christmas and New Year’s in Paris. They could not have been kinder or more gracious.
Located in the center of Paris, immediately proximate to great public transportation, fantastic restaurants, markets, museums, opera and live theater all within easy walking distance. Not to be missed: the pedestrian quarter rue Montorgeuil, Centre Pompidou, the Louvre, and people watching on the terrace of any cafe.
