We offer a sophisticated newly renovated apartment with classic design and contemporary art. The apartment is on the top - 7th Floor (8th Floor US) of an elevator building with a concierge. The building is in Art Deco Style from the 1930's. The apartment is at the back of the building and is completely quiet with gorgeous views of Paris rooftops, the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. Best of all, there is no street noise. The kitchen has a stove, microwave/oven, dishwasher a refrigerator/freezer and a washing machine and dryer. There is a Bang & Olufsen sound system and an HDTV receiver and cable and high speed wireless internet. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. One corner of the double living room transforms into a sleeping alcove with a queen size sofa bed.
The art collection is mainly photography, with some drawings, gouaches and paintings. The artists are from North and South America, Europe and Asia. The furniture is primarily Italian (Vico Magistretti) with a few classic French armchairs (Louis XV).
The apartment is located in the 2nd arrondissement on rue Poissonnière, with numerous shops, markets, cafes and restaurants and the Grand Rex Cinema nearby. There is easy access to transportation - buses and Metro (Bonne Nouvelle-Lines 8 & 9 and Sentier -Line 3). There is a taxi stand at the corner). The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the wonderful pedestrian street rue Montorgeuil with fresh produce markets, fishmongers, butchers, bakers and flower shops and a 10 minute walk from Les Halles Shopping Center which includes cinemas, book stores and shops of every kind, as well as the RER and additional Metro lines.

For those who prefer a Paris apartment experience to a hotel, this was one of our best trips. Convenient to the Metro and RER , neighborhood markets and restaurants close by , this is as close to being a Parisian as one can be for a week. In addition, with interesting artwork, the place has character. The owner lives here, part time, which helps to maintain the completeness of the facility - comfortable European Queen sized bed, plenty of linens, fully equipped kitchen, WI FI, washer dryer, dishwasher etc. The living spaces were quite roomy.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well provisioned. The owners are easy to work with and accommodating.
Within hours of our arrival, this lovely apartment seemed like home. We stayed for two weeks and everything was more than promised. The owners were exceptionally helpful in making our stay comfortable.. There are supermarkets, patisseries and any store one could wish for. If opportunity permits, we certainly would revisit this elegant and very romantic apartment.
We are a retired American/French couple, deeply involved in the arts, multilingual and multicultural. We divide our time between France and the United States. Cities are a passion for us and a constant source of discovery.
Over the years we have lived in five different neighborhoods in Paris, and this is our favorite. We did ca total renovation in 2012. We bought this property because it is on the top floor of the building, with lots of light, gorgeous views, private and totally quiet. We also liked the fact that there are 5 different neighborhoods within easy walking distance, and a fantastic array of restaurants, cafes (even Starbucks), concert halls, museums and theaters nearby. As movie buffs we also liked that the Rex Cinema is a complete multiplex including the largest cinema (2800 places) in Europe.

Located in the center of Paris, immediately proximate to great public transportation, fantastic restaurants, markets, museums, opera and live theater all within easy walking distance. Not to be missed: the pedestrian quarter rue Montorgeuil, Centre Pompidou, the Louvre, and people watching on the terrace of any cafe.

The rent is 1330 Euros ($1770) per week and is due a minimum of one month before the start date.
