Ilikai Marina self-parking is $20/day. 10 hour parking for $7. Street parking is possible if you’re willing to look for a spot.

Overall the unit was good. The condo has been renovated and had "good bones". Great location, bathroom and kitchen were nice, however, the ice maker needs to be fixed. Having s washer and dryer in the unit is great. It was also nice to have beach chairs to use. On the down side, the cushions on the dining chairs were stained and need to be cleaned or covered. One chair in the living area is in desperate need of a new cushion. The towels provided were dingy and worn. Even after washing them they had a musty odor. I ended up going to Macy's and purchased several sets of towels on sale for only $100. New beach towels would be recommended as well. We frequently stay in Honolulu as my husband comes for business. We definitely would consider this unit agsin,, privided some minor improvements were made.
The apartment was wonderful. The pictures they show are a true depiction of what to expect when you arrive. Fully stocked kitchen, linen cupboards, drawers with helpful information on what to see and where to go. A birds eye view of the Hilton fireworks display that takes place on Friday at 7:45pm.
Beach chairs, snorkelling gear available, beach towels - everything that you could want and need.
We parked on the 8th floor adjoining carpark - $20.00 a day (abit steep but cheap compared to other carparks)
this allowed for easy access to the lift - if you park on lower floors you will need to go up a flight of stairs before you reach the lifts (not good if you have heavy bags.
Non Smoking apartments, this includes the lanai (balcony) which wasn't an issue for us as we are non smokers however if you do smoke you will have to go to the 7th floor outdoor area or out of the building.
Looks of shops, restaurants and convenient stores (ABC, Safeway, Don Quijote, etc) the Ala Moana shops, Ward Centre extra are a short bus ride away with a bus stop right outside.
We never stay in hotels anymore, and this tenth floor 1BR unit is exactly what we look for. Ilikai Marina is easily walkable to Hilton's lagoon or Fort DeRussy beach on one side or Ala Moana beach park / mall on the other. New renovation as you can see in the photos includes modern appliances and quality decor. Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and a large electric drip coffee maker and a stack of filters in the cabinet during our visit. Big new refrigerator to keep your ahi poke and drinks in. Bathroom has nicely tiled stall shower, great for an after-beach rinse. Sofa pulls out. Flat TV and fast wifi. A useful desk in the bedroom in case you have some work to finish. Enjoyed the ample towels -- both bath and beach -- plus the beach chairs, snorkel gear, nice touches. Washer & dryer work well and simultaneously. The only critical comment I have, though it didn't really matter: is that the balcony is barely enough space for 1 chair and so we did not attempt to use it. Parking lot is very good but you'll pay $20/day, drive up to the 5th floor where there are many spaces. Elevators were being serviced and only one was available so I hope that slowdown will be fixed soon.
The Condo was just as it appeared in the pictures - very updated, modern, and clean. It was spacious and had all the necessary conveniences including beach chairs and towels. Many restaurants and shops were within walking distance. The marina and ocean were across the street and we never tired of watching all the water sports! The view that greeted us through the oversized glass sliding doors each morning was hard to match. I will never forget my first trip to Hawaii, in large part thanks to this wonderful condo.
My partner and I spent a week in this unit recently and overall were very impressed. The unit is exactly the same as what you see in the photos.
The location was perfect for us as we wanted to stay near Ala Moana Shopping Centre (10 min walk) and the Lagoon outside the Hilton Hawaiian (3 min walk).
Pros - The unit is well equipped with linen, kitchen appliances and utensils and other items such as beach chairs, snorkling gear and beach towels. Spacious and very clean. Plenty of room for a couple or small family. Large kitchen to prepare meals. Washer and Dryer. Great views over the marina and over to the lagoon. Walk way access across to the Modern Hotel. ABC store on the corner for all incidentals. Great restaurants in close proximity. Free WIFI. Building is nice and quiet.
Cons - The building itself is rather old and tired looking with no pool, or lobby/reception. You can sometimes find yourself waiting a while for the lifts. If you are looking to head down to the central part of Waikiki, it is quite a walk. The bed is only double, so very small if you are used to something bigger. Only one wine glass :(
This unit is great value for money and we would certainly consider staying here again when we return.
One small hiccup when we arrived. As we had not been to Honolulu before, we were unaware that this unit was located in the Ilikai Marina building and not Ilikai Hotel, which are half a block apart. We assumed there was only one "Ilikai". Worth noting so you don't have to drag your cases down and across the road.
Management were very friendly and booking was made without hassle.
