Casale Camparone is a unique farmhouse the can host 12 to 15 people in absolute luxury and comfort.
The villa sits amidst a manicured wine estate of 2500 acres of vineyards, olive groves and woods, about 20 km from Siena.
This property guarantees privacy while at the same time provides the most magical setting for a Tuscan vacation, as the estate that surrounds it, known as the Tenuta di Arceno, preserves a historical, architectural and natural environment that goes back more than four thousand years to the Etruscan times. In order to arrive to Casale Camparone, one has to drive up through a 200 year old Cypress alley one kilometer long, which makes for a grand drive towards a grand villa!
Casale Camparone exists since the XV century and is recognized by the Italian Office for the Protection of the Cultural Patrimony (the Sosprintedenza ai Beni Culturali) as a historical property whose architecture and beauty must be protected; for this reason when the villa was restructured 10 years ago there was extreme care and attention for details paired with the will to maintain tradition. The exterior still remains the same as during the Renaissance period when it was first built while the interior has all the modern comforts that luxury can provide.
Casale Camparone is a fully fenced property with a beautiful garden with many different outside living areas, with pool, vegetable garden and surrounded with breathtaking views. The main villa sleeps 8 + 2 people and the side annex sleeps 4 + 1, totaling 6 double bedrooms with bathroom en-suite plus 3 alternative sleeping beds mainly for children and young adults.
A historical arrival road lined by ancient 2 feet stone walls guide to the entrance on the ground floor. The welcome hallway leads to the right to the professional kitchen and dining area.
The kitchen has all necessary equipment to tailor to a large group: a fridge with ice maker, toaster, 5 burner stove, electric small oven, wood burning pizza oven plus a full range of cookbooks. The dining room has two tables, each table can seat up to eight people and can stretch up to twenty once they are both opened and aligned alongside. By the side of the kitchen is a square travertine table that can seat up to 12 people, weather permitting, for lunch and dinner during the warm weather months. Candles and a chandelier under the wine leafs are used at dinner.
To the left of the entrance one can access the living room that also leads to an outside pergola set with outdoor couches for outdoor living.
On the ground floor by the living room a small hallway leads to the master bedroom with a king size bed, a chaise lounge, a desk and a bathroom en-suite with shower with back massager, Jacuzzi tub and 2 sinks. There is a flat screen TV in the room.
Upstairs on the first floor there are three more bedrooms and a grand loggia with wonderful views of Tuscany. A small hallway divides a bedroom with an Oriental style decoration with a queen size bed and bathroom en-suite with bathtub and shower. Across from it is a two twin-sized beds room with a small sitting area that leads onto the loggia with 2 chaises lounges to enjoy the view and some reading; the en-suite bathroom has a bath tub and a shower stall.
On the other side of the first floor there is a third ample suite with a king size bed and bathroom en-suite with two sinks and bathtub with shower.
The second floor of the house is a unique architectural feature known in Tuscan as “the Colombaia” which literally means “the dove house”. It is a large unique room with windows in every direction equipped with a large flat screen TV and DVD player with a large DVD library. There is also a computer with WIFI. Two young adults could sleep on the sofa-beds in this room.
Casale Camparone used to be a farmhome and as such also had a Fienile (haybarn/annex) very close by. This beautiful Fienile has been restructured to host two additional and fully independent sleeping quarters. The smallest apartment has a very large terrace, a living area with kitchenette, bathroom, and a two twin bed room plus a small children bedroom with full bathroom with shower.
The second apartment, that has also its own entrance, has a large garden, gazebo, large living room with kitchen, and very large master bedroom with bathroom en-suite.
There are mosquito screens on most windows and doors, a washer & dryer, fax/telephone, CD player, a working fireplace in living room. All bedrooms feature air conditioning and WIFI computer hook-up.
The pool is 10 meters long x 4 meters wide. The pergola is covered with wisteria and roses with 4 chaise lounges, and 4 chairs plus a special waterproof mattress available when desired.
There is a covered Living Room porch with a spectacular view of the Tuscan countryside where one sits mostly in the summer and as the Casale is located at the end of a dirt road, you will not be disturbed.
Every day expect for Sundays, two maids will arrive to the property promptly at 8:30 to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner if so desired, and clean rooms; they stay for 5 hours each thus leaving at 13:30. If you wish, you can ask them to do your laundry or other services for an extra fee.
