Sunriver has four golf courses and miles of trails great for walking, running and biking. The Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory is a great place to learn about the plants and animals that are native to central Oregon, or take in a night show and see the stars under the clear high desert skies.
Our home sits directly across Beaver Drive from the SHARC, Sunriver's newest water park attraction that features indoor swimming, outdoor water slides, lazy river and large pool. A year-round sledding hill, rock climbing structures, amphitheater and cafe are also part of the SHARC.
Sunriver Village is the heart of Sunriver and just a short walk from our home. The village features shopping and a number of restaurants, including the new Sunriver Brew Pub, as well as winter activities - ice skating and a holiday train for kids. During summer months, the ice skating rink becomes a mini golf course and bumper car track.
Nearby Cascade Lakes (7 in all), lava caves, hiking trails, High Desert Museum, Bend and Mt. Bachelor make this an amazing vacation for people who enjoy visiting the outdoors and taking a break from the everyday.
