Love this place!

  • 5 of 5
We had a large group stay and filled up almost every bed (and there are lots of them). Great floor plan, it never felt crowded. The upstairs was a great kid/teen hangout with games and couches and foosball. The adults hung out on the main floor around the kitchen island, at the large dining table and the comfy couches. The master suite was really fantastic with a huge master bath. And the other bedrooms worked great - we ended up with a girls room and a boys room for all the cousins - but it could easily work as a family bedroom with the double bed and three bunks in each of the two bedrooms. Outside the hot tub and fire pit both got lots of use.
This is not my first time here, it really is a beautiful cabin and I will definitely be coming back. I've enjoyed it in the summer - hiking, playing at the river, and in the winter snow and Stevens Pass. I love the drive, love the scenery out all the cabin windows, love the house and love going on long walks no matter the weather. You can't go wrong staying here.

Amazing cabin!

  • 5 of 5
I love this cabin! I've used it for a study retreat early in January for 3-4 years running...and for several gatherings of small group getaways. It's wonderfully located; it's beautifully made. It's extremely comfortable. It's family-friendly and oriented towards group settings. When it snows, it really snows. Beautiful...just beautiful. Highly recommend.

We loved your cabin!!

  • 5 of 5
Our visit included our two teenage daughters and good family friends with two teenagers & one soon-to-be teen. My only regret is that we only had 3 days to play and explore, but we filled those days with lots of fun activities. So many beautiful hikes for this nature lover to get excited about - we will have to return to do more exploring. The one hike we did go on took us along a stream and ended at a beautiful mountain lake. We gathered blueberries along the hike and had them on our pancakes the next morning!

Playing on and riding down the river is what we all enjoyed the most. Another family joined us for the day and we put our rafts in under a bridge at a community just up the road a couple of miles and it took us about 3 hours to ride down. We are from Texas so the water was a bit cold for us but we loved every minute of it. Besides, we were able to go back to the cabin and warm up in the hot tub and everyone was able to take a hot shower. I kept thinking we would run out of hot water, but it seemed endless.

We made ourselves right at home in the kitchen and everyone fit around the large dining table for meals, games, hot chocolate and the "tim tam slam" event that we held - in the words of one of the teenagers with us, "it was like liquid chocolate Jesus!" (interpretation: he really liked it).

The weather just happened to be perfect and we were able to lay out under the stars at night and view the meteor shower - plenty of towels available for us to do this. We used the grill a couple of times and it worked great and the fire pit was awesome.

I highly recommend this cabin. It was my second stay - the first time I went with 3 girlfriends from college and we also had a great time hiking, cooking, talking, laughing and shopping in a nearby German town. Lots of great memories for me in this place!

Great weekend in the mountains

  • 4 of 5
My extended family of 6 adults and 2 young children had a great weekend at this home. It's in a beautiful location surrounded by forest. We especially enjoyed the campfire pit, playing in the river, and the lovely upstairs living room. We also liked exploring the local area. The Lake Elizabeth and Lake Dorothy hikes were fun and our kids loved riding the train in Skykomish.

This house is spacious and gave us plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is nice and the antique fridge and stove/oven are usable (but beware the small oven - not great for big pizzas). The furniture is comfortable and we enjoyed the movie collection.

One thing to note is that the river is a 1/2 mile away, so more like a 10 minute walk. It's a great river for kids to play in though.

The house had a few minor repair issues (the picnic table was broken, downstairs tub didn't plug, kitchen faucet was loose, etc), but the owner was very responsive and apologetic. After we told him about our concerns, he immediately visited the house and told us he's in the process of fixing all the issues.

Great house in for a fun weekend in the forest!
