The holiday home, stylishly renovated stone house with a fantastic sea view. The stone house was restored in cooperation with a Swiss architect with its modern construction and is located on the edge of the village of Kavalos on the Ionic Island Lefkas / Lefkada. It offers all comforts and during the summer, it is a relaxing escape from a hot day at the beach and on cooler days, it is a cosy place with a lot of atmosphere. The view from the terrace is overpowering. You look out onto olive groves and vineyards, the city of Lefkas, the Ionic Sea and beyond to the impressive Epiros mountains. You can go swimming by the nearby dream beaches or you can eat well and drink in a tavern by the sea, hike, go cycling, talk with the locals in the village Kafenion or just enjoy the tranquillity on the terrace. A German friend in the city will welcome you and is there for any questions you may have. In 2006, our holiday home was selected as the super holiday home from Pro7 Avenzio. DVD on request.

Lefkas is a Greek island in the Ionic Sea that is connected with the mainland through a bridge. It has an area of 293 km² with a length of 35 km and a width of up to 15 km and about 23,000 residents. The highest elevation is the Stavrotas at 1158 m above sea level . Our holiday home is located on the edge of Kavalos, a peaceful and picturesque mountain village - you are there alone, but you can easily come in contact with the open village residents. A visit to the two original Kagenions is always worth it. From Kavalos, you drive through a picturesque gorge, at the end of which after a ten minute drive you will see the glowing turquoise of the Pefkoulia beach. A little bit more to the south - Agios Nikitas: a lively, but nice small tourist city. Via boat or on foot, you can get to the Milos beach, a stunning natural beach. The most spectacular of the many endless beaches on the west coast is Porto Katziki - a must stop on an island cruise.

...von diesem Haus und haben es mit entsprechend zittrigen Händen in 2009 für 6 Wochen gebucht, nachdem wir es heuer in 2008 für 5 Wochen geniessen durften.
An so ziemlich jeder Ecke und an noch so kleinen Details kann man erkennen, dass die Hausherren Schöngeister und absolute Genussmenschen sind: Es fehlt NICHTS! Und wer genauso tickt wie die beiden, und jetzt auch wir, wird eine Auszeit der emotionalen Extraklasse erleben. Zu dick aufgetragen und kontrollieren wollen, ob wir Recht haben? Na, dann versucht erst mal, schneller zu sein als wir, um das Haus zu buchen!

Geld oder Leben? Haus oder Leben? Okay: Haus für Geld; und wir haben ein traumhaftes Sommerleben!

Wunderschöner Inselurlaub

Wir haben zwei traumhafte Wochen in diesem schönen Haus auf Lefkas verbracht. Die Lage und der Ausblick von der Terrasse sind einzigartig. Man wohnt mitten im Dorf, trotzdem hat man absolute Ruhe, nur mit dem Auto bis ans Haus zu fahren verlangt schon einige Übung. Im Haus selbst ist alles vorhanden was man für einen Urlaub benötigt, ideal für 1 oder 2 Paare. Lefkas selbst mit seinen Stränden und Landschaften ist wunderschön und noch nicht vom Massentourismus überlaufen. Wer Griechenland liebt, dem kann man dieses Haus nur sehr empfehlen.
Owner's Response: Wir empfehlen, ein kleineres Auto zu mieten, um leicht durch das kleine Gäßchen zu kommen oder 150 m entfernt zu parken und eben zum Haus zu Fuß zu gehen. Meistens ergeben sich auf diesem Weg nette Kontakte.

...uns hat zudem die exponierte und doch im Dorf integrierte Hauslage gefallen: mit den frischen Zutaten vom Markt und den Kräutern von den sehr sympathischen Nachbarn (die besonders unsere 3 Kinder sofort ins Herz schlossen) haben wir viele griechische Rezepte probiert - und anschließend ging es auf ein "Schoppen" runter in die "Dorfkneipe".

Kavalos-das ist: - weite Blicke in eine atemberaubende Landschaft - freundliche sehr hilfsbereite Menschen - Intensität der Farben, Düfte und der Stille - Momente, die uns wohltuend um Jahrzehnte zurückversetzen. Wir haben die einsamen Strände genossen, das Schwimmen in zum Teil herrlicher Brandung und waren bei all unseren Erkundungsfahrten überwältigt von der wunderschönen Landschaft. Ein traumhaftes Ferienhaus auf einer faszinierenden Insel !!!!

Sehr schön restauriertes Haus mit modernem Neubau sehr ruhig gelegen. Ideal für Ruhe suchende Urlauber. Komplett eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht. Traumhafte Strände in der Nähe. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert.
Owner's Response: Wir empfehlen, das Auto schon vorab im Internet zu mieten. Vor Ort können wir Budget Lefkas empfehlen. Dort werden Sie von einem griechisch-schweizer Ehepaar betreut.
